So much better than an anonymous mega-hotel staffed by callow youths with terminal acne - here is a try true gem of a Victorian residence in central LA presided over by the charming and gracious Patsy. Outstanding breakfast, comfortable rooms, reliable WiFi and pearls of cultured wisdom from our hostess. Highly recommended. More

My son had back surgery at USC, and the 5 days we spent at 657 made it seem like a holiday. I cannot say enough about how helpful and wonderful Patsy was, from making sure that we had whatever we needed, to being able to offer excellent suggestions and information in response to any questions. We stayed in a wonderful,... More

I have been a month in The Inn 657 in apartment 1. Interesting quality, low prices and good manners. Patsy, the owner, is a very close person. I have been living for a month because because I have been as visiting researcher at University of Southern California. The inn 657 is well situated close USC and LA downtown. I sincerely... More

Like everyone else, picked the Inn from Trip Advisor reviews and was not disappointed. We were upgraded at a quiet time to a 2 bedroom suite, were able to walk on our first night to the local fast food places and the breakfasts were amazing, lunch not required. Rooms could do with a little updating and would benefit from double... More

When you hunt for lodging in downtown LA, you find all of the big chains - especially the expensive ones. Then you read their reviews, and cringe. I was coming into town for a conference at the Los Angeles Convention Center, and discovered upon searching TripAdvisor that there is a cute B&B right down the street from LACC! The owner,... More

We were in LA for a seminar at USC. After researching TripAdvisor, we decided to stay at The Inn at 657 . It caught our attention because it consistently scored excellent reviews . We had the oriental suite, which was basically a 2 bedroom " apartment suite". We had a kitchen, dining room, living room , a full bathroom and... More

I first stayed at the Inn 15 years ago with my family. When planning a trip down to Los Angeles, I insisted we stay here again, for the breakfast alone! I found the Inn to be conveniently located, have simple yet more than adequate accomodations, and the breakfast was as good as I remember it. I look forward to staying... More

I visited USC recently for a performance and stayed at Patsy's Inn at 657. What a lovely surprise. This gorgeous vintage home was a trip into LA's past, and had the feeling of a peaceful oasis in the midst of the city. Breakfast was fabulous and the conversation was delightful. I highly recommend it. More

I drove to LA with my sons in August and booked two bedrooms at the Inn. Instead of two rooms, Patsy gave me a whole floor apartment with two bedrooms, one bathroom, a living room and a large kitchen. The place was charming, very clean and tasteful, very much in keeping with the feel of the 1930s. Breakfast was wonderful,... More
