As someone who has been going to Mendocino for over 40 years I have had my share of interesting experiences in this unique and charming community. I recently found myself in Anderson Valley on a Friday afternoon with no reservations, and somehow heard about this interesting place. It reminded me of the 1970 era hippy houses I use to visit... We stayed here for my birthday weekend and were pleasantly surprised! It is right next door to another B&B for a fraction of the cost. The location is perfect as it is across the street from a walking path to the sandy beach. The breakfast was delicious and coffee was ready when I woke up. The environment is relaxed and... More

We were planning a getaway to Mendocino. Really, it was more "escaping cabin fever" after being sequestered with our adorable newborn for a few weeks. We wanted to go to the Botanical Gardens and get some fresh, Ocean air in our collective lungs. We read the reviews of the Didg on TripAdvisor and had a pretty good sense of what... More

The digj. was the most laid back Inn I've stayed at. I never felt more comfortable and at home. Charles was so polite, Put us in the best room right off the dinning area. The night Sally and Ira performed was awesome. The breakfast was so yummy, and the night Charles served fresh abalone tacos was more then incrediable. Can't... More

If you live a busy city life, this place is the perfect escape. First time traveling to Mendocino and couldn't have picked a better place to stay! I highly recommend the water tower suite with its warm rustic charm and great views. The water tower is very clean, has it own little patio area, and one of the most comfortable... More

This is a wonderful place to stay. Nice clean room. We had a great time in Mendocino thanks to Charles taking time to inform us of the beaches we could take are dogs to and just hanging out. He is friendly and takes his time to be sure that you have what you need and where to go to have... More

Let me say this first: I love Mendocino. I've been going there for 30 years and have stayed in many wonderful inns. They vary in quality, but the "Didj" was inarguably the worst. Dirty, dirty, dirty. I understand Mendo-Funky. I love Mendo-Funky. But not filthy. Dog hair everywhere, mold in the bathroom, gritty sheets. Ugh. And the breakfast was nasty.... More

What a neat place! My boyfriend and I stayed there got a getaway and loved it! The room was great, Marisa was awesome, and it was so comfortable! It was relaxing, mellow and had a great vibe. Within walking distance to the beach which was amazing. Also quick walk to town. Breakfast was good, but the overall feeling of the... More

Stayed for 1 night. Friendly welcome. Tea and coffee available in communal area which was a good start. Disappointment began when we found our room. Felt insulted by the grubbiness of it ... Used to staying in cheaper places but have never yet experienced anything quite like it so yes it was unique but just not how I had imagined.... More

The carpeting looked like a hundred dogs had slept there the night before. The door moldings on the inside of the room door and the bathroom door probably hadn't been cleaned in ten years. Also, breakfast is provided on a large round table. You serve yourself and hopefully find a place to sit down while holding your plate in your... More
