We stopped along SR99 in Merced, as we had driven far enough for a warm day! This Hotel is right on Motel Drive which runs parallel to the 99! The freeway traffic is noisy, but really dies down at night. Bed was comfortable, room clean and staff was very friendly. We had a problem with the shower... the control knob was broken! Very convenient location, just off the freeway. I had a room in the corner, so maybe that helped the noise, but really only noticed the traffic occasionally while in the room and slept well. Heading back to Victoria BC from Phoenix and made Merced our first stop. Called ahead asking if they were pet friendly and Yes that was great. Just off the freeway but not far enough. “Too noisy”

We stayed in this hotel as we were travelling through Calif. The room was so noisy from freeway and train traffic that we had difficulty sleeping. The plus side was the office staff was friendly and the room was clean. But none of that was worth putting up with the noise even with the complementary ear plugs.

“A clean place to lay your head.... Not so sure what makes it "plus"”

Basic hotel room. Clean linens and comfortable beds. The pool worked for the kiddos. The fitness room was small but worse was the ac did not work! It is August in Merced!! The office gal was friendly and the continental breakfast was nice. It had a little more variety than other Best Western breakfasts. Easy place to stop over.

First impression not fantastic, as I never stayed in a hotel so close to a freeway! In fact you discover later than the hotel is localized between the freeway and the railway!
