We were traveling with another couple and made a last minute decision got stay at the lodge. Thanks to the wonderful greeting by Lynn, the hostess at the desk, we were made to feel welcome right away. It was a perfect place to stay while sight seeing in this part of California. The rooms were very clean, quiet and comfortable.... More

Hi, Thank you so much for your great comment about your enjoyment of the cottage. We are happy that you had an opportunity to meet our great front desk person, Denise. She really enjoys what she does and tries hard to make all the guests here happy. Hope to see you again! More

I have read some of the reviews for this hotel and it seems that, if you are looking for the style and amenities of a Sheraton-like hotel chain, this is not going to be your place. Myself, I enjoy the personal warmth and care of independent hotels like this one. The people who work there are warm and serviceful. They... More

Hi Jenny, Thanks so much for taking the time to write such a nice review. We are glad that you and your brother enjoyed your visit to the Lodge and Point Reyes. We were pleased to have you here as well. Jeff at the front desk commented to me how much he enjoyed interacting with you. I appreciate the fact... More

If you are looking for luxury or elegance, this is not the place! Our fireplace room with a little balcony and jetted tub was small. The carpet needed a good cleaning and the bedding was tired looking. No room for a desk or dresser. A couple chairs, 2 worn bedside tables, an armoire and the bed were as much as... More

Dear J, Our front desk night staff remembers you very well and enjoyed chatting with you about the area. However, please feel free whenever you are in any hotel to speak with the hotel staff if you find something lacking that you need to enjoy your stay. We would rather fix it for you immediately than learn that you didn't... More

The Seashore Lodge is a 1 minute drive or slightly longer walk to the Bear Valley Visitor Center of the Point Reyes National Seashore. Reasonably priced, particularly compared to some of the B&Bs around. No TVs in the rooms and a $10 or so higher rate gets you a better room than the basic room and includes a jacuzzi tub.... More

I searched and searched to find a nice place to stay for a much needed weekend get-away with my husband. Wanted to stay at the Tomales Bay Marina Inn, but it was closed for 2-weeks, and they referred me to the Seashore Lodge (I believe there is mutual ownership?). This place is fine, but nothing spectacular. The room was quite... More

Your comment about our TV being tiny is true. We actually took a poll of our past guests and 95% of them voted for NO TVs in this Lodge. So we keep one in a TV cabinet in the game room in case there is important world news and offer big screen TVs in our bar next door for those... More

When we made the reservation to stay at Casa Olema (one of their cottages), we explained we were looking for a nice place to stay with our daughter, son-in-law and one year old grandson near Point Reyes National Seashore. The individual with whom I spoke indicated Casa Olema would fit the bill for us. Upon arrival, we found the couchesand... More

The lodge is well appointed, the welcome friendly - lots of fresh home-baked cookies! The gardens are lovely: we were sorry not to have time to explore the grounds and beyond, as there are walks you can do from there. Breakfast was good, with something for everyone, cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurt, toast etc. The restaurant next door was convenient and... More

My wife and I have been coming to Point Reyes once or twice a year since shortly after the Point Reyes Seashore Lodge opened. It is without question one of our favorite places to stay. The Lodge has 22 rooms. Our favorite is #16, but any of them is nice. It seems like the architect began designing from the outside,... More

Looking for an impulsive escape with DH for just one Sunday night, we rented Casa Olema on the grounds of the Pt Reyes Seashore Lodge, not to be confused with the Pt Reyes Inn. After spending the day out at the lighthouse, we stopped at the Oyster Farm (formerly Johnson's) for 18 mediums. We came fully equipped for grilling and... More
