Great Place! Very close walk to Asilomar State Beach and walking trail. Can't wait to go back. The staff was very friendly. We had a problem with our fireplace the first night and was moved next door to a nicer room. Continental breakfast was satisfactory. Will definitely stay there again when I go back to Pacific Grove. A nice price for a nice little room in Pacific Grove. Good quiet location. Smaller room but all the space we needed. Very clean and the service was friendly. Breakfast very basic bagels, coffee,tea, yogurt, instant oatmeal, etc. Neat bathroom. We were happy we found the Sunset Inn. More

Extra nice walk-in shower. When leaving, I left my wallet on the bed after leaving a tip for the maid service. I returned about 10 minutes later and my wallet had already been turned in to the office and they had called me. Confirmed my positive impression of this lovely place. I will definitely return! More

We stayed in a room with king size bed and fireplace. Room was very clean, bed comfortable. Breakfast choices were limited, but certainly adequate, e.g. bagels, instant oatmeal, yogurt, coffee, orange juice. We took advantage of an off-season special to enjoy a long weekend on the coast: what a treat to find the Sunset Inn! The grounds and buildings are well-maintained and have had a wonderful "face-lift." It looks like the inn started life as an old cottage-style motel, and has been re-modeled into cute rooms with vaulted ceilings and enlarged bathrooms.... More

WE were pleasantly surprised by our overall experience. The Inn is not large or new but it has been renovated and represents a great choice in the area. The location is very near the municipal golf course and Asilomar beach (walking distance). More

Great location,nicely decorated, very clean and Barbara the manager is wonderful! Have stayed in a King room w/fireplace and the King Suite with jet tub and kitchen and balcony.
