Stayed at HI silicon valley for a leisure weekend. We booked the suite room and was impressed, very spacious room and bathroom. The hotel is older, but the room was clean. Booked through priceline for about $60 per night. Would have hated to pay more. The hotel has a unique and confusing set up. Although there is technically an on-site restaurant, it's across the parking lot and is only open during certain hours. Lodging rate includes coupons toward $ off breakfast at the on-site restaurant. Breakfast service at this restaurant was "turtle" slow but the food was okay. Traveling from picturesque Oregon to barren and bland San Jose, we were not expecting much from a hotel near the hospital (visiting while friends had a baby).
