I stayed here at the beginning of the year. This hotel was great. We were upgraded to a ocean-view room. There was a very small mess up on our room service order. James Clark was beyond amazing in trying to make it right. He ended up offering dessert over the phone to my boyfriend and when we came back from...

In the past two years since taking over, Hyatt has transformed a Santa Barbara classic property to be truly first rate.
The location is absolutely perfect, right across from the beach. You can sit at the poolside bar and see the ocean.
The restaurant is first-rate, staff is excellent, and the rooms are beautiful. I think all the rooms have...

1. Location is superb.
2. If you like sleeping in a run down old motel.
Sorry, Hyatt, there's no way to put lipstick on this old pig. Even though 2 of the 3 buildings had recently undergone cosmetic remodeling (the third was closed for construction), this is still plainly and simply a 2-story motel with dorm rooms. No grounds at...

We would recommend this hotel for families and couples, alike. Awesome ocean views! It is a nice but not extraordinary Hyatt. It is right across from East Beach, which is broad and spacious. The hotel will require a car to restaurants and most of Santa Barbara, but it is quiet and there is a peaceful bird sanctuary just south of...

There may be no more beautiful place in California than Santa Barbara, and the Hyatt is well located across from the Beach. The Hyatt has all of the amenities one expects from this chain with a decent but small workout room and a nice pool. We stayed in a deluxe ocean view room that had a small balcony that overlooks...

From the reservation phone line, to check out we enjoyed our stay at this property. (We left the Monticito Inn because of a horrible previous nights stay). The reservation line told us that a room was available in the morning of our arrival and we were able to check in at 10.00 am. We were met by Christian at the...

Upon check in we were given any information on the property. Then, the room smelled like pine sol and was small and worn down. Pool cocktails were $10 a pop, certainly not in line with the hotel appearance. The property should be rated as a 2 star at best.

Recently stayed at the Hyatt in Santa Barbara. It is not like other Hyatt properties, since it was recently acquired and was previously operated under another name. At first it seemed a little odd, but all the properties in Santa Barbara make concessions, due to the pricey nature of the real estate and the difficult nature of the planning board....

this used to be the miramonte and now is a hyatt. they are renovating it. so ask to stay in newer main building. it is not a classic hyatt as it is spread over a bunch of 2 story buildings. floors creak. can tell it is older but again, the renovated part was excellent. the restaurant is way out of...
