Needs updating in its bathrooms, but otherwise all the basics are there. Reasonably priced and a handy location for a stopover on the way to Yosemite. Town also charming. Decor old-fashioned but we liked it that way. No glitz and no frills. We'd go back.

This is a relatively inexpensive place to stay. It's an historic inn, so the rooms are small. But, they have everything a person could need except possibly a small fridge. Everything was absolutely clean. One day I dropped my keys down the old elevator shaft. The custodian was able to retrieve them. The entire staff was super friendly and helpful.... More

We stayed at the Sonora Inn for three nights during our first visit to this area. It's a nice place for being so old. We loved the elevator! Our room was clean and comfortable... BUT the shower was horrible. Hot then cold, hot, cold, hot, cold... Fix the water issues and we will definitely be back!

This place is a good way to experience how thing were in another century. This is the second time that I have stayed there. The staff was pleasant and the room clean. I doesn't have the modern conviences like a single faucet in the bathroom, which makes it difficult to wash your hands without filling the basin to get the... More

The room i paid $104 for was small. It had no dresser. The pool was dirty I spent 20 mins cleaning it so my son could swim. I asked the front desk to turn the filter on they never did. The room smelt of urine. The bathroom still had somones left overs in it. To turn on the AC you... More

I've been very familiar with the Sonora area for over 30 years, having lived nearby, but never stayed at the Sonora; I now wish I could still say that. Generally I like older places with "character", this is just too much.. The location is great and the check in was prompt, after that things went bad.... The first room I... More

Stayed for three nights using a Groupon for two of the nights. We reserved a historic double bed room. I guess historic means it is the smallest room they have. Beds were comfy but no desk, dresser and lighting was not adequate to read by. No pictures on walls but the TV was wall mounted and in a wooden frame... More

Just spent the weekend at this Inn ...Beautifully appointed rooms in a vintage mid town setting. Staff was very pleasant. Could do with a few more modern amenities (bathroom was a lil small but quaint) and WiFi, while available in the room, was a bit slow and spotty; The wifi in the main lobby was very strong. But all in... More
