Considering the extra benefits offered at this hotel (free all-u-can-eat breakfast buffet for guests + $10 off dinner per room) this place was an excellent value! Staff was very friendly and helpful. It is not a high end hotel, but is very nice and clean.

The fireplace and waterfall added charm to the lobby. The employees were especially nice.Breakfast was early and good. Ask for a room with a view of Pike's Peak. We enjoyed dinner. The location was excellent.

Hotel is older, but very comfortable and the wifi was very good...something important to business travelers. Bed was very comfortable and there were plenty of pillows. The bar/restaurant is quite nice and friendly, not your typical hotel bar. We had a reception and the support staff for that event went above and beyond. They made our stay quite memorable. Only... Overall it was a good experience. Had a few things that I wish had been different. There was a wild bunch of in supervised children in the pool that made our first pool visit unpleasant, we informed the front desk but no one came to check it out. Then Sunday morning breakfast was unpleasant. They were trying to get set... More

We were in the Springs for the weekend. There was a snafu with the reservation (my fault) and the friendly and helpful desk staff was able to accomodate us, even with a complimentary room upgrade! The rooms were clean and attractive, and we were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food at the lobby bar/restaurant. The hotel is conveniently... More

We went to Colorado Springs for business purpose and stayed in The Academy Hotel Colorado Springs for one day only. Myself and wife found ourselves willing to stay longer as a result from the fact we were very well treated by the whole hotel staff and owners. Due to a tight schedule, we could not prolong our stay and had... More

You can tell that at one time this was a luxury hotel (probably 1960's). If I had to guess I would say that this place was originally built as a Sheraton. You can also tell from the crown shape of the signage that at one point they were also flying the Best Western flag. While no longer a luxury hotel... More

We stayed here for one night while travelling through Colorado. Reading that it paid to book through the hotel website we did that a got a room at a discount. The motel is convenient for the freeway but far enough away that traffic noise is not a problem. There is a mall across the road so resupplying is not a... More

We really enjoyed our stay here and it didn't feel outdated to us at all. We were in the middle of a out-of-state move and desperately needed a place to stay for a couple of nights while we were packing things up. We have 2 kids and 2 dogs and felt that the rates were extremely reasonable (especially considering the... More

This hotel is quite old and has very outdated amenities. We didn't know until we arrived that there is no elevator to the second floor. On the way up we noticed a pile of trash under the stairwell. It looked like someone swept a pile there and left it. It was there the three days we were. In-room housekeeping was... More
