I stayed there for 1 week (I was on a summer work and travel program), before moving to my housing. The reception lady, Anne, was very nice. The owner - strange. Cleanliness and hygiene were bad. That is why I advise staying as little as possible in your room. Focus on visiting and site-seeing. I know students who stayed there... more
It was terrible. The room was filthy, there was mould on the ceiling, strange stains on the bedding and the door of our room and the door of the bathroom couldn't lock. It was not fun! more
to start with the upside - its convenient to downtown period. Now for the downside- roaches everywhere!!!!! Filthy!!!!! I walked in my room and the owner was perusing my things. Bed bugs - I woke up with more bites than if I had walked thru a swamp in mosquito season. Mice ate thru my bread bag over nite. The library... more
Let me simply list the many downsides: - dirty sheets -dirty room (dust bunnies, food on the floor, dirty dishes in sink, grime in unrunning tub, dead flowers in window, filthy refrigerator, etc, etc) -shower looked like it was from horror film- broken glass included - toilet was broken - en suite room only had toilet--no shower - disgusting area... more
On the positive side there were no bed bugs. Clean but worn sheets. Location near the capital. Manager was helpful and price was low. Got a great nights sleep in a comfortable top bunk. Tom's Diner around the block was great for breakfast. TV and 2 showers in basement. Did not have a security problem for our one night stay.... more
07/13/2006 Graet front desk staff...proffesional, corteous and accomidating. The price you can not beat in Denver, Co. Only $13.00 bucks a night ...well worth it !!! Spent 3 night s here ...for the price of 2 nights anywhere else. Thanks..James and international youth hostel. SEE YOU AGAIN! more
The manager was nice. The residents were nice. It was about $12, including tax. It was about 6 blocks from the free downtown bus. more
There were faeces in the showers, and the place didn't get much cleaner. The district was punk city, with suggestive comments being thrown at anything in a skirt. We checked out before we stayed a night, moved up to the Marriot hotel - although expenise at least it felt safe. There are other hostels in Denver, and I think they... more
I was with my pal during three weeks this year visiting Denver and surroundings,in the beginning of our trip and at the end, at the youth hostel. It was very friendly, clean and social. This youth hostel gives value for its price. I like the people running it. Especially Chuck. He is wellcome at my place(:-) with friendly greetings Peter more
