Loved this place! The owner and caretaker were very friendly, fun people. Warning - do not stay here if you love Marriotts, Hiltons, Ramadas, Hyatts, etc.! This place is neither corporate nor bland nor stuffy. It's very close to downtown and on a bus line, plus it has free parking. The building itself is a nice, not overly cluttered, victorian... More

The Holiday Chalet exceeded our expectations for a free evening away from home, yet close by. Our room (#24) was larger and quieter than expected, with a sitting alcove and kitchenette. We enjoyed a historical video about Colfax Avenue. Crystal and her team enhanced the experience via their hospitality. More

Overall, we were not thrilled with our stay. The accommodations were comfortable and it was nice to see a kitchen was part of our room (appears that these may have been old apartments that have been converted into a B&B). However, the radiator heating either hissed or the pipes knocked loudly several times in the middle of the night. In... More

The Holiday Chalet is an incredible Victorian Bed and Breakfast . The staff very friendly and informative of surrounding area . The owner Crystal Sharp was gracious and so friendly , going above and beyond to make her guests feel welcome . I stayed on the third floor and loved my room . It was bright , sunny , charming... I read some of the other reviews and to complaints, I must agree and disagree - Yes to noisy outside (we were there on a Saturday night), to disabled TV (not that we really wanted to be there watching TV anyway), to sketchy 'hood (read drunks and homeless in the area); BUT no to rude, no to discourteous, no to... I really wanted to like this B&B. The rooms are affordable, spacious and each one includes a kitchen. But the owner, Crystal, made it difficult to do so. She was not warm or gracious. The breakfast was fair at best. It is also located in an extremely loud, sketchy part of town right off of Colfax. If you are staying... More

The Holiday Chalet is a beautiful B&B. The cleaning staff were warm, genuine and very friendly. But others working there made my family and friends feel very unwelcome. My 86 year old grandmother was told she had to leave the breakfast area, and not in a polite way. This happened to a number of friends staying there. I would understand... More

Problem 1: The groupon I bought wasn't accepted, (but was transferable -which doesn't matter if you wouldn't want to stay there again.) Poor customer service. the owner was often rude to us and our party -and she rudely told us to leave breakfast two days in a row. The staff (Mary and Bella) were nice and helpful. Non functioning TV... More

Holiday Chalet is located right on Denver's main strip, Colfax. Although bustling with traffic and people, once inside the Holiday Chalet, you feel at ease. We were greeted by the lovely and charming owner, Crystal and her delightful sidekick, her black lab, Clementine. Our room was spacious - we had our own sitting room and kitchen, which was a pleasant... More
