This is an old-school motel. We like to park right outside our room so we can unload and watch our car. The room was clean and everything worked well. The owner was very nice and helpful. We will stay there again if in the area. Reasonable price.

I stopped here seven years ago, and made it my home. Prices are very reasonable and the management and staff are so pleasant and helpful. Safe area and new high security locks on the door ( no old keys running around). And quiet, you'll love it.

The Central Motel is kind of like a visit to grandma's house where things are vintage and eclectic style-wise, but definitely serviceable and comfortable enough. Somewhat reminiscent of family road trips as a child in the 60s and 70s. We stayed in room 19 and found it spacious and clean. Comfortably firm king-size bed, with a mini fridge and microwave, which we always prefer. Great amount of hot water and water pressure for the shower. Air-conditioning worked just fine to cool off the large room, although it had 2 real windows for cross breeze if desired. The owners were very gracious and courteous and accommodating. We would definitely stay here again on a road trip, especially since the price was fantastic at $70 a night, taxes included with our AAA discount.

Places like this used to be the norm, especially throughout the inland west. They offered automobile travelers clean, no-frills, convenient accommodations for an affordable price. They've mostly been replaced by characterless, beside-the-Interstate multi-story chain hotels. Except in Ft. Morgan. Give yourself the pleasure of experiencing the feel of those simpler days. The Central Motel offers basic, end-of-day travel comfort in a spotless 70s-era setting, at an affordable price. And with a friendly staff to keep it all together. There's even a SONIC ("Happy Eating") drive-in directly across the street. Talk about nostalgia!!! The Central Motel is also adjacent to Ft. Morgan's lively downtown, and is convenient to all highways, including the Interstate.

I've been staying here for 8 months. I travel all over the country and this has been one of the best places I've stayed. The rooms are clean and there is lots of places close by to eat. Jackie is a great lady and she has a great staff. I highly recommend The Central Motel.

On a long drive from Los Angeles to Minneapolis, I had some mechanical issues with the van and needed a place to stay. I didn't want to spend a bundle as I was just by myself so I went for value and it was a fair price. The lady was nice and the non-smoking room was fine and had the most crookedly hung painting i have ever seen in the bathroom, which I found funny. The wi-fi worked. It had a nice radiant heating system that worked well without the noise of one of those blowing off and on fan things in the wall and it seemed very clean. There are some good restaurants and liqour stores nearby. I fixed my van in the parking lot and was on my way in the morning so it all worked out!
