The four of us camped for two nights at this campground. The camp sites and vault toilets were all very well maintained. Please note that there are no restaurant facilities in Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park; however, Montrose has many food options and is only 15-20 minutes away.

My husband, dog, and I camped for one night at this campground. We stayed in site A25 which was separated from its "neighbors" with plants and shrubbery, which also offered shade in the afternoon. The picnic table was clean and made of composite wood. The fire pit with grill was also very well kept.

We tent camped for a night at the South Rim Campground in order to do a little hiking along the Black Canyon's rim and drive the scenic drive in the park along the rim. The campground does not have views of the Canyon itself from the campsites, but some of the higher elevation sites have nice views of the mountains...
