Great location 2 minute walk from beach. Stayed March 16 & 17, 2024. Front desk staff member Cameron was helpful and excellent! Disappointing for the following reasons: Room carpet had 2 large stains and room smelled musty. Glass shower doors were filthy. Pillows were pathetic. Several uniformed cleaning staff were serving themselves breakfast from the breakfast bar on the Sunday morning leaving little for guests. Very unprofessional. Website stated ‘parking included’ but on check in was advised parking was $16 per. Manager not in attendance both Sunday and Monday mornings.

Hotel's Favourite
First Vilano Beach was great (I think better than Anastasia Beach). This hotel was super close to beach access. Very clean. Very nice staff (desk, housekeeping, and breakfast). Also a Publix supermarket market is within 500', so anything forgotten or snacks/drinks are just steps away. Great AC in room and all common areas. Hotel was clean. Full honesty would note just a couple very minor cosmetic items. The vanity in room 330 does have some rust issues and the tub has a small chip in the porcelain. But overall the hotel is very nice and a good value for being so close to the beach and 5 minutes from the fort. Definitely recommend for family vacation. Also hotel has a deal on beach chairs & umbrella rentals.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Close to beach and a quick easy drive in to Old St. Augustine. Breakfast was so-so. I’ve had better quality at other Hamptons. Rooms need better maintenance and cleaning. Room smelled of mold and fungus coming from AC unit in room- maintenance sprayed a deodorizer but masking the odor isn’t a fix when it’s mold. Truly they should have cleaned the AC properly to rid the odor. Front desk person took off parking charge for inconvenience. The hotel was totally booked so another room was unavailable. Overall cleanliness was ok. Dirt and dust in every corner. Lamp shade on desk had rust on rim. Carpeting felt grimy. I prefer no carpeting in hotel rooms.

First stop was Cameron at the front desk. He was so welcoming and a wealth of information. Mom and daughter trip. The 2 queen room was large and very clean. Pool area beautiful. Breakfast was great with a huge variety. Very quiet at night even during spring break. The gardener takes great pride in his work and gave us our best restaurant tip.

Stayed here for 2 of the nights we were visiting St. Augustine. Room was large, clean, comfortable . Weather not warm enough to use the pool but the pool area very nice. Parking convenient. Breakfast ok. Close to the beach. This was one of the quietest places I’ve stayed. No noise at night. Close to Publix for snacks..

My husband and I stayed here February 11, 2024 for 2 nights. I had called before I booked to see if they charged for Service dogs. They said no. I have a registered Service dog and they charged me $75.00 anyway. I have paperwork, a vest etc. My room had nasty carpet and it smelled like mildew. Don’t waste your money. They asked me what type of service dog I had. That is none of their business! I had a chance to stay at this hotel again coming back from Miami and I passed them right on by. I stayed at Jacksonville which they were super nice to us. Maybe y’all need to spend the pet fees on cleaning the carpet!!!

This was one of the nicest Hampton Inns that we have stayed at. The people were very helpful and the rooms are very clean. We had a great view. We have a service dog and they were so helpful with him. We will definitely be visiting again. It is so close to Downtown St Augustine, but so quite and nice..

$38.07 - that's all it would have cost the Hampton Inn & Suites Vilano Beach St. Augustine to make this three-time repeat guest feel good about our multi-night stay this year, instead of feeling that Hilton failed to honor its "Best Rate Guarantee." We booked our reservation online a month or so in advance, and obtained a non-refundable rate under Hilton's "Best Rate Guarantee." A couple of weeks before our arrival, I checked the online rates for the same Hampton I&S, and discovered that the rate on that day to book for our three-night stay was $38.07 lower, in total, on a charge of almost $500. I called the hotel, and the staff also confirmed the same lower rate, and that it was lower than what I had obtained previously. However, they also explained that, despite Hilton's "Best Rate Guarantee," they were unable to refund the $38.07 difference between the price that I had already booked and the current price. We arrived for our stay, and I spoke with the front desk agent, and asked if the manager would simply give us a "courtesy credit" of $38.07 on our bill so that we would feel like we were not taken advantage of by Hilton's refusal to honor its "Best Rate Guarantee." After some time, the front desk agent told me that he spoke with the manager, but that she said she would not give us any credit, even though I was a Hilton Honors Silver member and even though we were repeat guests at this hotel, having stayed here in each of the two previous consecutive years (even during COVID, when we were almost their only guests). So, for a total sum of $38.07, the manager at this Hampton I&S has not only switched a repeat guest from wanting to stay here again (we'll go to the new comparable competitor hotel next door, instead), but she has shifted our focus from what went well during our stay, to instead noticing what was wrong. Things that we would have otherwise overlooked, such as: the previous guests' hair on the top part of the inside shower walls, bathroom wallpaper separating from the wall, hand lotion dispenser falling off the wall, the small and incredibly slow elevator (we ended up taking the stairs to and from our 3rd floor room every time), unreliable in-room "enhanced wi-fi," digital entry key lock on our room door that never once worked during the entirety of our stay (and for which the staff had no solution), an in-room television with more than 60 channels but no guide to tell you what was on them, dirt and rust build-up on the bathroom floor corner that meets the shower, room carpet that desperately needed a good shampooing and left our bare feet dirty if we walked on it without shoes or sandals, blackened spoiled bananas at the breakfast buffet one morning, a poorly laid-out dining area that resulted in crowding next to guests that were coughing or hacking so badly that we had to change tables half-way through dining, no bike racks on the hotel property, and a Hampton Inn & Suites St. Augustine Vilano Beach hotel that upon closer examination felt worn out or possibly poorly managed.

1/5 Front desk staff Was sent the typical upgrade offer, responded to the email that I would like the upgrade. Never heard back from the hotel. After driving 3 1/2 hours was treated sarcastically by the rude guy at the front desk who mocked us and told us “we don’t even have that for all the days you are here!”, like we were morons for even asking. Received a similar sarcastic email from the general manager Stephan Picklesimer, explaining how upgrades work (I’m a gold member with Hilton but apparently I needed this education). I can spend money elsewhere to be treated badly. Rooms need better cleaning. The back courtyard/ pool area is nice, but there are better choices in the area, so save your money.
