My wife and i spent a week on Iles de la Madeleine in early May just after the start of the lobster season. This is a great time to go as there are very few tourists and (maybe we were lucky) the weather was fine with only 1 stormy day (where we saw some of the power of the sea... More

We stayed 2 nights at the Couvent. What a delight! The owner, Reginald, went out of his way to welcome us. He insisted on going out to our car and taking our bags up to our room on the third floor (there is no elevator). We had booked the smallest room (Le beau couchant). Although it was tiny, the bed... We decided to stay at the Presbytery, another building alongside the Couvent, as Domaine du Vieux Couvent was booked for rooms we could afford. The studio we got was very spacious but all windows except the bathroom looked out at the Convent, only about 50 feet away so no privacy for us as the dining room of the convent was... More

Though we did not stay at the hotel we tried to reserve in their restaurant as recommended. We called twice at different times in the afternoon leaving both our personal and local hotel contact information on their answering machine as requested. Much to our surprise, they never returned our calls. Very unimpressive client services.

We stayed here for our final night of vacation on the Island and wished we had been here the whole time. The service was impeccable and the rooms were top notch. Had breakfast in the restaurant there and it was very good. Definitely worth the extra money to stay here.

Totally awesome rooms. Beautiful, relaxing, spa-like setting. Gorgeous windows look out to pond and ocean. Amazing bathroom, ceiling showerhead, glass, tile. Wood floors. Solid wood furniture. Salt lamp. Plenty of storage space. Huge comfortable bed, lots of pillows. Dining room - outstanding seafood. Mussels, shrimp, scallops, lobster. Breakfast - delicious, plentiful. They even packed us a breakfast when we left... More

What a nice spot, hotel rooms are spacious and the bathrooms modernized very comfortably. We were visiting during a heat wave and the windows were open wide with an odd industrial smell wafting in at night. But that was not the hotels fault, the service was superb , they even gave us a carry along breakfast for the ferry ride... More

This is a small hotel by any measure, however one of the biggest in the Madelaine Islands. About 2 miles from de airport, this old well recovered Nuns place faces the beautiful waters of the St Lawrence River meeting the Atlantic Ocean. For starters it is easy to arrive and find on the Islands, just a few meters from the... More

We stayed here for 3 nights during the Vacancier cruise. What a welcoming and charming Inn - the rooms overlook the beaches and the sound of waves readily lulls one to sleep. Beds are big, fluffy and comfortable and the windows are large, right up to the high ceiling enabling wonderful views. Wi-fi is free. The diningroom is, in my... More
