We loved this place! We had a rustic site, which only had 2 tables and a space for the tent and the car. Check in was quick and painless. Gated entrance/exit made it secure. Facilities are convenient and immaculately clean. Nightly entertainment was great, although we used the game room to work on a computer, everyone there looked like they... more

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Big Pine Key Fishing Lodge. The rooms are comfortably large, able to accommodate the 3 of us that stayed there for the weekend. It was nice and clean, no mold or mildew anywhere, which is quite a challenge with the constant humidity down there. While the weather didn't allow us to take advantage... more

We spent last Christmas at Big Pine Key Fishing Lodge and I kept meaning to write a review. The campground is great and the people are wonderful. The people at the front desk are informative and friendly. The showers and bathrooms were very clean. Our kids ages 13, 11 and 8 had a great time. We felt very comfortable letting... more

We visited the Big Pine Key Fishing Lodge as an alternative to staying at a hotel in Key West. It's a relatively short distance away from Downtown Key West--about 30 minutes. Location- Big Pine Key is well hidden. We missed it completely the first time around and had to turn back. It's nestled in and kept away from the traffic... more

We just returned from our stay at the Big Pine Key Fishing Lodge and it was an absolute pleasure staying at this fantastic, fantastically priced camp ground. A few highlights of note: 1.) Bathrooms are cleaned daily, and cleaned thoroughly. Many campgrounds end up with swampy, bug infested latrines of doom. Not here. The floors are clean, the metal of... more

My brother and I headed down to the keys for a random January vacation, compared to a hotel the pricing was amazing to set up our tent, we had our choice of a location to set up. The tent sites near the water would have been great for a picture to make our friends jealous but the noise from the... more

We are back for a second year. The first year we tent camped. We reserved a room last year (this place usually books a year in advance) and got a motel efficiency. There is tent camping, about 7 motel efficiencies and Lodge rooms with lofts..they are amazing. Our in laws stayed in the loft rooms and they are about 30... more

We researched the keys, looking for a non- Key West experience. We wanted to hang with the locals. Big Pine Fishing Lodge was centrally located, it was easy to get around to everywhere. Did a kayak trip from Big Pine to No Name Key, start and finish neat the No Name Pub - big Nachos! The local vibe of the... more

We spent Feb at BPK for 9+ years until my husbands death. Haven't been back and I really miss it. Made some great friends and had some memorable times in rustic. Being part of the Maine group really made the vacation a ball. Staff was very nice and the facilities are very clean. Great parties and dances. more

I first visited Big pine key in 1984 while on winter break from college. I have been going ever since. I have made friendships to last a lifetime and now I go back with my wife and two children. If you love the environment, boating, fishing, exploring and fireside chats this is the place. My hope is that my children... more
