Location, Location, Location. Hotel is one block from historic downtown and within a ten minute walk of several good restaurants and bars. Hotel is slight cut above typical Hampton Inn. Breadfast room was on the second floor and had a view of the water. Hotel was clean, well managed, and had a friendly staff. more

We stopped at the other Hampton Inn at Amelia Island and we weren't so happy because it is not so nice. Then we arrived to the right one and found it very very nice (wonderful lobby!). The Hampton Inn and Suites is located smack in the middle of the historic district and whithin easy walking distance to shoppes, great eats, and libations of the soft and hard variety. Unlike other reviewers I was kind of let down by this Hampton. Located in a perfect place, right by the downtown wharf and dining/shopping area, it hasn't been kept up as well as most Hamptons. The hotel is nicer than most Hamptons. The location was fantastic. A must is the italian dining next door, Marina's next to the harbor and Jersey Boys for the Philly cheesesteak. The shopping was quaint shops all along the blocks. Very romantic. more

This was way above the usual Hampton Inn for style and charm. Location was excellent to do the little town and shops. Would definately recommend this to friends. more

Great hotel. We stay here all the time. The suites are great. With fridge and eating area as well as a separate sleeping area. Hotel staff is great. Prices are usually very good. Walking distance (half block) from town. Pool too. Excellent value. more

We love this hotel. We have stayed there twice and have reservations again in October. The staff is friendly, the hotel is beautiful and you cannot beat the location. The only thing that would make it better is if it were on the beach. more
