Most of the positive reviews are from years ago.....but..... When we stayed at LaCasaDelMar in March of 2022 it was no longer as described! Room was shabby with frayed or broken items, dresser that I needed to line with towels to avoid splintered wood and dirt in back corners, and lacking basic items. There was no toilet paper roll holder, nowhere in the bathroom to hang or place personal items, and a stand on only one side of the bed. The air conditioner was in poor condition and turned on and off VERY loudly, constantly. Spring breakers interrupted our sleep most nights even though the hotel says they "don't allow partying." Worst issue was the kitchen. It had almost nothing in it to cook, serve or eat a meal with....and a refrigerator that was completely NOT functional. After we complained about the refrigerator being dirty and the freezer being completely frozen shut we were told they might be able to help the next day. Since we had groceries to put in it, we cleaned the refrigerator and chipped the ice out of the freezer in order to put away the food we brought (because the room had a kitchen!). By the next night, the freezer had again frozen over and we couldn't even get the door open! Let them know....and Another day later a worker came and removed the fridge, replaced it with a small apt. sized one without freezer. Needless to say, all the food we purchased was ruined! Either frozen into the freezer that we were not able to get into, or dripped on or frozen in the fridge. We were told that day "the owner will make it right." That was 7 weeks ago and NOTHING has been made right!!! We asked for reimbursement for the lost food and instead got billed recently for MORE than we owed them! Stay away.

Convenient location to the beach and restaurants, great housekeeping staff, maintenance is lacking and the security deposit/refund policy makes it a gamble to book a week's vacation too far in advance.

My husband and I traveled to Fort Lauderdale for the A1A Marathon. We had been torn between booking a smaller, boutique hotel and staying at a big beach resort. In the end, we are soooo glad we stayed at The Granada Inn. We loved everything about this place. The man working the desk was so friendly and welcoming. The grounds are stunning. The two pools are landscaped so beautifully that you feel like you are on a secluded, Pacific island. It is hard to believe you are in the middle of the city. All the housekeepers were polite and meticulous with their cleaning. We loved seeing the occasional iguana roaming around the trees and rooftops. The rooms are impeccable and it was by far the quietest hotel we have ever stayed in. We rarely saw another person. Also, the location is great. We were a minute stroll from the beach, and about two minute walk to the water taxi pick up. Will definitely be back!

This was our 3rd or 4th stay at Granada Inn. We chose it for its location, close to the beach, restaurants and shopping. We have stayed here both pre and post cruises out of Port Everglades and have not needed to rent a car. Taxis to and from the airport and the cruise port, as well as the $1.00 trolley that runs to Las Olas Blvd and The Galleria Mall on Sunrise Blvd have been sufficient. There is a very nice pool (not heated) with towels and beach chairs available for use. We have been in Room 2 on the first floor as well as rooms 7 and 8 on the second floor. A nice rooftop terrace allows for sunset views. The office staff is very friendly and helpful. Granada Inn is a wonderful alternative to the huge high-rise hotels nearby.

Definitely not worth the $150+ charge. More like staying at a cheap apartment that should charge about $59.00 a night. No staff available after 6 PM until the morning. Keys left in a mailbox that anyone could access your room with. No internet info or WIFI password, no ice machine (ice tray in room with dingy water and stains), mini iron board thing about the size to iron your sock. UNSAFE, no security. After going through outer gate, dark and closed off, perfect place to be robbed or worse. Weird-looking people smoking stuff outside their room. Room service does not include cleaning up kitchen after you. Parking is free but so tight that you can barely park in space and open the door to get out. Very limited parking space as they rent out the spaces for parking for $20 to people who want parking space although not staying there. DO NOT waste your money here. Many better options close by.

I recently tried to cancel a reservation 7 days before my date of arrival. I have had a dear friend pass away. I called Southwest to cancel my flight and in 3 minutes they helped me cancel my reservation. The only thing they commented on was they were sorry for my loss. However, the Granada Inn would not refund any of my deposit and said I had to prove there was a death. Unbelievable. My group coming to Fort Lauderdale was a total party of 50 people. I am glad that none of my travel companions are not staying at the Granada. I will make certain everyone I know travelling to Fort Lauderdale does not stay at this Inn.

Disappointed stay at 3015 Beach house January 10th and 11th. 2019. From the pictures on the website you would think you are staying at this cute beach house but our experience was a little different. We traveled with another couple here who were equally as disappointed. The house could have used a good cleaning, frig, stove especially, dusting the furniture would have been nice, replace all the burnt out light bulbs before you rent it out it, BBQ unusable, yuck is all that I can say. Upon arrival no internet or TV. Only saving grace is that the sheets were clean, pillows old. Asked for some type of compensation, possibly a reduction on our rate, no, none given. Coupon for our next stay. I don't think so. Not coming back.

The most disappointing thing about this post is that it is my first negative review ever in all of my years on tripadvisor!!!!! Having booked the penthouse suite for 2 couples way back in June of 2018 for 2 nights for January 10-11 we were surprised to get an email in October saying there had been a computer mix up and we were being relocated to the Beach house. We were not really pleased as there were many negative reviews about the beach house. Reluctantly we agreed. We arrived late at night in Jan and as promised the keys were waiting for us in the mailbox. Upon entering the house we had difficulty locating lights. Switches didint work which we found out the next day was because many of the fixtures needed light bulbs. Its late so worry about that in the morn. The place is charming and cozy and the beds are clean so we figure lets relax, check emails and watch tv . next disappointment- tv and internet dont work. We will have to get that looked after next day as well. Disappointment #3 - no electricity in the bathroom we were using! We look every where but cant locate a breker box.Now after being punted from our original booked room which had great reviews we are starting to find this a bit much. In the morning #4- the house needs a really good cleaning- I can write my name on the glass dining room table and I do! we are not impressed but we are reasonable people so we take our concerns to the office(in another hotel next door). Have to go twice but by now whatever. Things get fixed in the afternoon the next day. In former emails from the hotel we had asked about booking a taxi van the night before we check out to take the 4 of us to the cruise port and are told no problem we can do it the day of. Heavy sigh, no taxi van available the morn we need it. Taxi driver even asks us why we didnt book a van. He gets luggage in the trunk but has to use a bungee cord to secure the trunk. Lastly when we check out and request a discount for all of our issues especially accepting the move from our original reservation we are denied! Told so sorry. Guess being the reasonable ones shouldnt have been our approach.

This is the 7th year me, my family and friends have stayed at Granada. I'm local and everyone else flies in from around the country for our annual event. For us, this is our 2nd home. The rooms are great and the staff friendly, accommodating and long term employees whom know us all.

We love it here, nice for big families! A short walk to the beach, good size appartments, love the yellow house, and nice people who work here! On the roof you can BBQ and have bigger family gatherings
