This is my 3rd or 4th stay at the Alcazar and I again found all the reasons that keep me coming back. they are: 1) great location, just one block from the ocean; 2) fine (though not elegant, of course) rooms and baths at very reasonable prices; 3) accomodating owner and friendly staff, full of smiles and eager to help;... more

Stayed three nights at the Alcazar in a room with a King Size bed on the second floor. Let me say that I got a deal on the room with buy two nights get one free. So at the end of the day on the average I paid about $73 a day. That is good for the beach area. You... more

I stayed in Alcazar Resort, the sister resort of Worthington for on night. It was not at all fun or worth it. First, it was old, very old!! It's 15 year old and it showed. See the picture of the shower head and the bathroom you can tell. And the service was just ok. The room was nothing but a... more

We stayed at this resort for a week in October. The room was great and spacious, and thoroughly cleaned every day. A few frayed towels here and there. The breakfast offering was basic, the two pools were clean but small and the Jacuzzi almost impossible to get into due to high number of visitors. Same for the only one Internet... more

This is a very nice resort, one that is well taken care of and close to everything. I came across this place by accident, and have been back three times since. The owners are very nice, when you arrive late, they have the air condioning on in the room for you, they leave the lights on, they make you feel... more

Perfect weekend at resort. Room was large-kept clean-and quiet. Staff was super friendly and helpful(dennis-thanks for getting my room ready even though I showed up 3 hrs early). Two properties meant two choices-usual wild fun with the boys on worthington side at night--or mellow/quiet time on alcazar side. 3 blocks to beach..very safe area,,met many other friendly guests ages 25-60..the... more

Third time I've stayed at the Alcazar - property adjacent to Worthington, which costs a bit more and has more amenities in the rooms. Rooms in Alcazar are clean and well kept. However, office, computer, breakfast, and happy hour are all on Worthington side. Landscaping around pool is lusher, but more sun (in March) around Alcazar pool. Diverse crowd --... more

Really concerned about the condition of this property, which has clearly taken a steep drop since the last time I stayed here in April 2007. Our room had a cracked front window, and the bathroom was what one expects in a one-star motel on US1: chipped bathtub, rusty towel rack, noisy air conditioner, horrible tile work, mold all over. Wi-fi... more
