We stayed at this resort on our trip through the Keys. First, it is absolulely beautiful, set within a botanical garden. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The pool is great as is the pier for watching the sunset. Beautiful. Everyone that works here is very, very friendly and helpful. We arrived as a large party was checking in so... More

Dear Ravenfan055220: Thanks for your wonderful compliments and description of our resort, botanic gardens and friendly staff. It is our guests who notice how hard we work for them that truly make us wonderful. More

We arrived at this lush hideaway for a 6 day getaway with some friends. Friends we were travelling with stayed here last year. What a beautiful lush property filled with beautiful plants, art work at every turn, a bit of wildlife and a quiet retreat. We stayed in the Kiwi room. The colors are light and the room is a... More

We came in from the airport late and found we had been upgraded to a suite. Everything was perfect, very clean and Comfortable. Kayaking with the free kayaks and pingpong on the beach completed our all too brief stay. We will be back. Highly recommended.

We stayed at the Kona Kai resort on Key Largo last week and were treated to truly first class hospitality. The owners and manager of this small quaint resort on Florida Bay really know how to make their guests feel at home and comfortable. Every detail has been thought out ahead of time. The rooms have wonderful art work and... More

We stayed at Kona Kai for three nights to celebrate our twentieth wedding anniversary and cannot say enough about how wonderful our experience was. We immediately felt at home from the moment we arrived. We stayed in the Kiwi room, which was lovely. The grounds are beautiful... be sure to take the time to walk around and look at all... More

What a lovely little gem this is. Quiet understatement seems to be the theme in this tropical garden of a resort. We booked a single room for 3 nights and stayed a 4th night because we enjoyed it so much. We love children but when we are not traveling with our families we would rather not deal with all that.... This is a very special place. The resort is small, I think only 11 units, and so access to the beach is right at your front door, no waiting for elevators or walking down long hallways lugging beach stuff. Because the resort is small, there is never a problem finding a spot on the beach or at pool side. The... More

Cannot say enough good things about this spot; the services was exceptionally great, the location is nice and quiet, good tennis court, hammocks, clean pool and the ability to have your own kitchen and BBQ was priceless. I'd come here again and again and again.

We were lucky enough to spend two days/nights at the Kona Kai in the Banana Suite. The property is gorgeous and set back away from the busy road. There is a lovely tennis court, pool, hot tub, kayaks and paddleboats all for use. When we were there, we hardly saw any other couples. The Banana Suite is nicely decorated, clean... More
