When you read this is a hidden gem, it is! Friendly, clean, private, quiet, absolutely what we were looking for. Authentic beach stay. Fabulous time there. The scenery cannot be beat, nor can the sunsets you'll see!

This was our 9th summer staying at the Sandpiper, but my children call it the Holiday House because they love it so much! It is the most peaceful place I've ever stayed. The beach is quiet and many times we will be the only ones on the beach. It's a hidden gem! It is always clean, and they are always updating. Every summer we find they have updated or renovated something. There is a beautiful walking trail on the bay side just across the road, Joan Durante. The beauty of LBK and the Sandpiper is the old Florida feel. Our favorite restaurants are Mar Vista (our favorite), Whiteney's, La Norma and Euphemia Hayes (the dessert room is a must!).

Absolutely the best kept secret in Long Boat Key. Charming, old fashioned inn with immaculate rooms that are well appointed with everything you need. Quick walk to quiet beach, magnificent sunsets, small pool and within walking distance to perfect restaurants. Go but don't tell too many people about it. Wonderful, caring staff.

The Sandpiper Inn is not for everyone, but it is a wonderful place to stay. Minimialistic and clean. The rooms are well equipped with everything you need, along with a front sun deck, bbq area, wonderful "private" beach and small pool. The innkeepers are attentivel and have free coffee available in the office. There is a washer and dryer on the property. Bring your own beach chairs due to the turtle nesting season. There are excellent restaurants within walking distance. So relaxing and peaceful. Free parking.

Absolutely wonderful inn on Long Boat Key. Private, cozy, many amenities which we love, beautiful beach, small swimming pool and friendly staff. The place is beautifully kept and immaculate. No complaints. You can walk to restaurants. This is well located and tucked away. Make reservations well in advance.

Second time staying and it was wonderful. If you want a quiet, peaceful time on the beach relaxing, this is place to stay. The kitchen has a full size stove and refrigerator, the bed was comfy. They provide a beach umbrella which came in very handy. There are also umbrellas and chairs on the the beach itself. We will definitely be back!

I can not say enough good things about The Sandpiper Inn. The location was perfect for us. We stayed in Room 200 so we had a direct view of the beach from our room. Exactly what we needed! It’s a small inn with beautifully maintained grounds, lovely flowers and the beach is just steps away. The whole area is quiet and peaceful with a cozy atmosphere. The rooms are clean, beds were comfy. Our room had a stove, refrigerator, dish washer, toaster and coffee maker along with plates, utensils and pots and pans if needed. We will absolutely be visiting again!

We have been going to the Sandpiper for 8 years now and have NEVER had anything but an amazing time there. We usually stay in Room 105 but it was not available this time and stayed in 108. Room was fantastic and had everything we needed. Great kitchen, bathroom and the King bed was great. The AC was super cold as it is always great coming in from the beach and cooling of fast. We can't say enough about the overall grounds and staff at the Sandpiper. The common areas are always clean and well maintained. If you are looking a an amazing place to get away and want your quiet and don't want to be constantly bothered by staff or other guest.....THIS IS YOUR PLACE. We live near the beach an hour away from Longboat, but the crystal clear water and sugar soft sand is second to none! We will continue to return to The Sandpiper as every time we are there they impress us more than the last time!!!

Oh my gosh! This is, by far, the best place we have ever stayed ANYWHERE! It's clean. quiet, and the prettiest place in Longboat Key! We will return here, for sure! We loved The Sandpiper Inn!!! The cute pool isn't big but it's a hot tub and pool all in one! And the beach is a hop, skip, and a jump away. There are only eleven units, so it's very private and intimate. I have nice pictures of our stay there and wonder why I can't post them here?

LBK is a beautiful island and less built up than some adjacent areas. On a stretch of road with many high rise blgs. sits the Sandpiper Inn, a small, well maintained, garden property. We stayed in their clean, updated, smallest unit (# 100) which met all our needs. Although it is next to the office and closest to the road it is very quiet. We do not feel a need for daily housekeeping service, but their towel and sheet exhange system works well. They also have washer/drier for your use. The owners were very nice, even printed boarding passes for us. The best part about the Inn is the direct access to a private Gulf beach. We appreciated the umbrella, chairs and beach towels provided. You can stay at one of the high end hotels or condos nearby, but you will see the same fantastic sunsets at the Inn for an affordable price. There is a lovely park, restaurants and convenience store within walking distance. Publix is a short ride away. Armand Circle is not far to go if you want to shop. We would definitely revisit!
