The wife and I enjoyed a few days here in January 2010. A lot of the complaints I see here are unwarranted. Yes this is an older hotel. Expecting beachfront luxury in SOBE for something less than $150 a night is just nuts. Sure our "standard" room (not "superior") was small and "dated" but it was clean, comfortable--and on the... more

We just stayed here and what a great place! Our room was very nice and we loved the location of the Marseilles! Close to Lincoln Ave and having a beachfront location make us want to come back next year! The folks at the front desk were very helpful in pointing out places to eat and to shop! We will return! more

From the front desk to the pool attendants, everyone was spectacular in their approach to making our stay comfortable and perfect. The Hotel is being renovated ( much needed) and some things like the one guest ice machine for 9 floors that didn't work but again within 5 minutes we had ice at our door. I would say for location,... more

Hotel Marseilles was my home away from home Thanksgiving holiday. Centrally located on the fabulous Miami Beach shore it's a great deal with easy access to the beach, Lincoln Road restaurants, shopping, and Miami Beach nightlife. Attentive staff meet every request with a polite, positive attitude and response. The rooms were clean and neat and had many amenities including a... more

We are so glad our bellmen welcomed you and were ready to meet your expectations! It makes us happy to know our guests are noticing our efforts. As to our concierges, they are really friendly people, and they love to hear when guests come back to tell them stories about the places they visited. I would like to apologize if...

The only thing missing from this hotel were the roaches!!!! The web-site for this hotel is extremely deceptive; should be reported for fraud!! This hotel was old and smelly; you can NOT control the temp in your own room; TV reception poor (and some of the channels we were suppose to have wouldn't come in); tub rusted out (with bad... more

On behalf of the entire team at the Marseilles Hotel, we would like to apologize for the inconveniences you encountered. There were aspects of your stay that we could have improved on, and for this, we take full responsibility. As a result, we have commenced an arduous renovation process where issues like these will be no more. As a hotel,...

I don 't want to say all negative sites of it, but the main problem is that they charged me for mini bar that was in the room without letting me know that it is going to be an extra charge. The stuff in the mini bar worth $20, and i was charged $150!!! When i saw this charge on... more

This hotel is very old and it smells awfull when you walk in. It is dark and dingy and the rooms really need modernising [some have but we did'nt get one]. The bathroom, although clean was awfull. The handle was hanging off the door and there were marks in the sink, bath and toilet as they were so old. Also... more

We stayed in the Marseille Hotel on a business trip for meetings in downtown Miami. It was worth the drive to stay at this hotel on south beach. The staff was very cooperative with our special requests. You could tell that they were anxious to go the extra mile as we are a challenging group (see Juan or Rose ,she... more
