Overall our experience was great. We really didn't catch anything but the area is nice and it's great to bank fish and use the pier for fishing. We will go back and try with a boat next time.

Stayed at the Southside Hurricane Lake campground on 1 Dec 07. It's a cool peninsula basically surrounded by water. There are only maybe 15 campsites and they're spaced pretty well. Some of the ground is uneven, but I slept well. The scenery is great, and if you hop in the car you can drive to the bridge over the Blackwater...
