Loved the upper level so much, I hated to leave!! Absolutely no complaints. I wasn't to thrilled about the shared showers and bathrooms but when we got there we instantly fell in love and the rooftop shower was awesome!!! I would definitely stay here again. Thinking about it I might just book a weekend getaway for myself and my husband so we can stay here again. It is very well camouflaged and if you don't know where it is you will miss it for sure. I think a more fashionable sign will have people take notice, but not necessary. The staff was friendly and awesome as well.

We used out GPS to find our hotel, not sure if we would have found it otherwise, it doesn't have curb appeal. There isn't an elevator so you need to lug your bags up narrow steep stairs. They are very friendly at this place, it is like a large house with shared bathrooms, which they maintain very nicely. The rooms were nice and the bed was comfortable. They have Wifi at this location, and they provide a small breakfast. It isn't located too far from the main street in Palm Beach which we walked to. I felt safe at this location, it is just a little different as it isn't a B&B nor a hotel. I would stay here again if I was in the area again.

We arrived in WPB quite late and were great full we had pre booked a place to stay. When we arrived at the destination however there was nothing there. No sign, doorbell was just wires out of the wall. At the back of the building there was s parking lot with an old sign that said the Upper Level but no cars. The hotel was booked and paid for online. We had even emailed them to say we were arriving late but no one replied. This is a fake hotel listing created to sham money out of you! Steer clear!

I stayed here with my girlfriend. We were a little hesitant when we arrived. It's kind of a combination B&B, and apt rental spot. The entrance is on N Dixie Hwy, pretty busy. But once inside we realized we had discovered a gem. Felt like we were in Soho, or San Francisco. Original art work on all the walls. Very deco feel throughout and the rooms were very nice and clean. Simple continental breakfast and coffee. The managers (we met two) were both very nice and helpful I asked for an iron to freshen a shirt and she offered to do it for me. Sweet. The shared bathroom was not to our preference, but we did have a shower in our room. Convenient to Palm Beach and downtown West Palm restaurants too. Off street parking. I was not going to review this place because I didn't want people to know about it. If you like something unique, unusual, but clean, affordable and fun, check it out.

First of all a compliment to the interior decorator this place beautiful. The staff is very friendly and fun to talk to. The price I payed is well worth it even if you don't have your own bathroom. Definitely the highlight for me is the "OUTDOOR SHOWER" went running and really enjoyed it afterwards. The room towards road is a little noisy though.

We found this on line and absolutely loved it! Very chic and comfortable with a kitchen to place your personal food. While bathrooms are not in all rooms, they are just around the corner and are super clean. There's a veranda to enjoy your onsite coffee and whatever breakfast you bring for yourself. A terrific location and wonderful staff!

As we drove up the street to find this hotel we were sure we had made a wrong turn. The neighbourhood looked a bit shady and we could not see the hotel. We parked our car and got out to have a look, and placed between a hair salon and a theatre workshop place there was a door bell you could ring to talk the reception - we had found the place. Got taken upstairs and it was like coming into a new world (compared to the one outside). Beautiful and chic common room with great colours and arts, and lots of doors that led to the bedrooms and bathrooms. The staff was excellent and our room was so nice with a very comfy bed. Shared bathrooms, but we did not mind this. The location is not great if you don't have a car, a bit of a walk into town. We didn't want to take the car to the beach, but the manager was nice and got us a free ride into town with a small, open car that drive people around for tips. It was the first time she called this service, but if they could get it to work I recommend using it (if the weather is nice). Wifi was free and fast. They had a small, continental breakfast that maybe could have been a bit better to match the genre of the hotel, but overall good. Would recommend staying here if you don't mind the location and sharing bathrooms with strangers. Excellent service and beautiful rooms/facilities.

From 3/15/2015-3/16/2015 my husband and I were guests at The Upper Level. Here's the honest truth. This was one of the best experiences that I have had at any hotel in the Miami/Broward/Palm Beach area. My husband and I both grew up in South Miami, and attended Coral Gables High School. We still live in the area. For that reason, we typically do not need lodging anywhere near Miami. Last weekend though, we went to a concert at Cruzan Amphitheatre and in our old age (30 and 31, haha) we have a lot more sense now, and refuse to even entertain the idea of driving home under the influence. Since we knew we would be staying late at a concert, and drinking, we booked a nearby hotel room. The Upper Level popped up as a "Flash Sale" on Travelocity. The price was low, and the hotel seemed very nice, so I called to be sure that this wasn't some sort of trick, haha. Tatiana answered the phone. She was super friendly, quelled all my fears and got my booking. A week later, another young lady called to confirm. They are very thorough. When my husband and I arrived, I thought he might have questioned my judgment due to the surrounding area... but do not judge a book by its cover. My husband really did put it best when he said that the outside left something to be desired, but the inside was an oasis. Mireya greeted us and showed us around. She was lovely, and made use feel so comfortable. We only had a short time before the concert, so we dropped our bags off and left. When we came back, I went to the kitchen area to get water and ran into the owner, Steven. We had such a fun, compassionate conversation, and my husband joined us shortly after. He's a really nice guy with a true dream in mind. I was very happy to learn so many positive things about his business. The next day, we checked out between 1-2pm... Mireya was there again and she was just great. Check-out was seamless and we will tell all our friends about this pace. We will also always stay here when we go to events in West Palm. I really have nothing but nice things to say!

A little difficult to find and the outside is deceiving, but called and this sweet lady Tatitianna (sp?) answered and she was AMAZING and reassuring. She greeted us so kindly and was very helpful in getting situated. The room was beautiful with a king size bed with white, soft clean bedding, lovely shiny hardwood floors and decorated with art deco style and flare, however, that trip outside the room to the rest room was a lil uncomfortable for me. After one gets over that, the peaceful and private stay was great! Oh yea, downtown spot and close to everything! Thanks Upper Level for a elegant and unique experience,,, KenAndImani
