We have stayed there twice this winter. The Bears Den cabin is rustic and quaint. The second cabin, the Seminole, had sewage issues that the staff came out in the middle of the night to clean up and repair. Everyone there is very accommodating and as others have mentioned, it is rustic. So if you are expecting a 4 star... More

First off I would like to say that Enota is a beautiful campsite. The location is beautiful, nestled right up next to the National Forest and provides excellent hiking trails and wilderness areas as well as access to the Appalachian Trail. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive and met all of our questions with great hiking/camping suggestions and answers.... More

My husband and I spent 3 nights camping at Enota Mountain Retreat this past weekend. Our quiet campsite along the stream was beautiful. The bathhouse was chilly but very clean, with plenty of hotwater to warm you up. Went on the farm tour on Saturday - which was super fun. Milked a cow, fed the chickens, goats and bull. Held... More

This was our first family camping trip and it couldn't have Ben more perfect. This place is so beautiful and our children were in heaven. They really focus on children there! We could not ask for a better experience.

We stayed in the "waterfall" rooms- which is nothing more than 30+ year old trailers divided into rooms. The doors would not lock (we told the front desk- nothing was done, they said something about "new keys were made") We could not lock our doors at night or the entire time we were there. There was rat feces in our... More

Enote is a great place to go to. I will say that it was hard the frist night with out a phone and no cable. But I quickley understood why Enota is a place to get away from the busy world and get back to the basics. The cabin was great. I think GOD for his Peace in Enote, I... More

Enota is a wonderful vacation location for getting back to basics and enjoying the simple things in life. What makes Enota isn't cabin ammenities (I won't argue the hot water was a problem and the beds weren't that of a 5 star hotel), but it is the beauty you encounter. Although, I slept better at Enota than I did at... More

Tucked away, off the beaten path, deep in the Cohutta National Forest, near Chatuge Lake on the Georgia/North Carolina border is a gem of a rustic retreat called, Enota. To visualize Enota, is to visualize peace and serenity. Cascading waterfalls are virtually right next to your bedroom window. The spring fed creeks provide nice clean and crystal clear water all... My wife and I visited in Ocober 2012 and were awestruck by the beauty of the property. However, as the visit unfolded, we found the beds were awful, the hot water inadequate, the gas heat would only stay on high, the front desk couldn't offer anything in terms of hiking trail info, most of the amenities were dilapidated or closed..there... I love Enota camping. I have camped here for 4 years with friends and family. It is great for kids and adults. Great hiking, pet farm and tents on stream. I love this camping site. Clean bathrooms and playgrounds for the kids. In the past 2 years it does need a little more up keep. I think there is a... More
