This hotel is full of history; it's where the Federal Reserve system originated. Also the first transcontinental phone call was made from here in 1915...a four-way call which included New York, S.Francisco and Washington DC. My family and I enjoyed an afternoon visiting the Jekyll Island Club Hotel and its historic grounds. The historical significance of this property is impressive with a walking tour or the various buildings and residences that make up "The Winter City." We particularly enjoyed having a drink at "The Pub."
