Me and my husband stayed at this Hostel for 6 nights.
We rented a private room, which consists in one bedroom with a double bed and a bulk (single), a desk with chair and a closet with iron board. The room is very spacious, so it can accommodate well the 3 gests.
The amenities for the private room are really...

Pros: Room is pretty standardized with four bulk beds. Plenty of freebies like free breakfast, free pool, ping pong, and meeting room/TV room free to use.
Room is spacious compared with other hostels I have stayed. Mattress is soft and convenient. Location is close to CBD and tourist attractions, about 10 minutes walk to the Millennium Park.

I signed up at the last minute & reluctantly took a bed in a 10 bed woman's dorm. It turned out to be quite spacious & comfy, with bedding & a towel supplied, a wall light at each bed & an outlet close by to charge or power cell phones & other gadgets. Staff helped me get a lower bunk...

Hostel International Chicago: great location, good value, all ages welcome. I do not know why TA calls this a "summer" hostel.
When I needed a Chicago hotel room the night before a long flight to New Delhi, I opted for the HI Chicago when I could not find a reasonable rate at any downtown hotel.
The hostel’s location is ideal,...

I was ther 3 nights by 10/01/2011. Really great location! If you travel alone and don't want to spend so much in accommodation: THIS IS THE PLACE.
Very secure, always clean, personnel amazing (except Liz, at Front Desk).
I highly recommend it!

This reliable, huge hostel has the best location in Chicago, one block from Michigan Avenue and the L station to both airports, the Near North Side, everywhere. Inside it's usual high HI standards : free wireless (although it was spotty at times), free filling breakfast, free travel information. The dorms are large, aerated and mine had a view on the...

I stayed here for 4 nights for Lollapalooza 2011. This is seriously one of the best locations for the festival and you can't beat the price either. The staff was very helpful and polite. The rooms were large (8 bed fem dorm) and clean. Everything is in walking distance and it seemed pretty safe in the area. The breakfast provided...

A great hostel in central downtown Chicago. Clean, tidy rooms, great communal areas and a really warm and welcoming atmosphere. Breakfast was also good - normal fare expected for hostels. Close to mass transit as in "the Loop", so very easy to reach other neighbourhoods from the hostel and to get to/from the airport. Great for group travel, also looked...

It is kinda of confusing searching for the direction at the first time because there is no number sign to show which street you were at even though you know you at Congress Parkway. Just remember, it is right beside DQ and behind Roosevelt University.
This is the best Hostelling International that I stayed so far, compare with other city's...
