Unfortunately, my wife turned out to be allergic to cats, and we had to check out a day early and move to a downtown hotel. First, the neighborhood if you're hesitant about staying outside the Loop. The Bucktown/Wicker Park neighborhood is great---lots of restaurants and architecturally interesting (both old and new) two and three story multifamily homes. This is a wonderful bed and breakfast in a great neighborhood. They went out of their way by picking me up and taking me back to the nearby train station. The breakfasts were scrumptious, the bed was very comfortable, the shower, steam room and sauna were delightful, and the two cats added charm. Ray gives excellent advice on local restaurants... more
