I had a beautiful time and the bed felt like I was sleeping on a cloud. They have good restaurants in the hotel and their pizza was the best in Chicago. The room was beautiful, my only complaint is that I believe that the WIFI should have been free. More

Stayed there in December last year for CFA exams. If you just go to Chicago for business in McCormick Center then it'll be your best choice. But if you also want to see around the city there might be some trouble. Public transportation only includes buses but no subway there, and you'll have to grab a taxi. Food is not... More

Stayed here in skyline suite for two nights for a conference. It was great!! Room service was top notch for breakfast but they came at the last possible minute within the 30 minute period. Stayed in room 2801 with views of downtown Chicago and Lake Michigan. Also, the train station is only a short walk away to get access to... More

This hotel is very convenient for convention delegates who are attending convention or meeting in the convention centre next door. There are sky hallways connecting to the convention centres and hence one does not need to go outdoors. The drawbacks are it is away from the downtown core and museums. There is no subway close by but there is a... More

I stayed here in December of 2011 for a convention at McCormick Place. Location couldn't have been better, never had to walk outside to get to the conference. The room was nice, with a nice view of the lake (i was on the 30th floor, not facing the city). Overall, the room was clean, but there were minor things that... More

The Hyatt McCormick Place is definitely a convention hotel, which isn't necessarily positive or negative, unless you are staying there for a leisure visit. Location simply isn't the best--a 9 to14 dollar cab ride is required to get you into the loop area for restaurants, theatres, shopping, and a few museums. My stay at the Hyatt was pretty good after... More

Dear delledge, I'm very sorry to hear about the temperature issue in the room. I'm glad that our staff was friendly and helpful during the move. I will be sharing your review with our Front Office Manager regarding the bell man, as tipping is purely at the guest's discretion. I'm terribly sorry for his behavior especially as he was sent... Dear RastaMermaid, Thanks you for staying with us - I'm glad that you enjoyed the hotel and the walk. Our South Loop neighborhood is growing daily and the Prairie District is an especially beautiful area with lots of historic homes. I hope you got a lot of good pictures. Thank you for sharing! So usually Hyatt is outside my price range, but I managed to get a discounted rate based on when I was travelling. I was in town for only 2 days, but the hotel staff was polite and professional, the rooms were clean and nicely decorated. I really enjoyed my stay. My only qualm is that the hotel isn't located near... More

Dear Becky N, Thank you for staying with us during your visit from Austin. I'm happy to hear you enjoyed our facilities. A tip on the transportation - you can also use the #3 bus to get downtown quickly and more inexpensively than a taxi. It stops right in front of the hotel and takes you up Michigan Ave to... More

this hyatt is connected to the McCormick center so if you have a business event ,it's a no brainer to stay there. Service is excellent - professional, personable, helpful, all with a smile. Rooms and restaurant are adequate. Rates when I was there were about half price of comparable down town hotels, so even if you are not in town... More

When no big shows are open, this Hyatt is not really a first-class hotel. Smaller meetings or pre/post show setup at McCormick Place mean services like shoe shines and early afternoon bar are not to be found. Also, upgrade services (and how to take advantage of them) were not fully explained. Although the room was clean and staff was friendly,... More

Dear NCMort, I'm very sorry to hear that you did not feel we were a good value. This month we begin our full guest room renovation and expansion to address the room and amenities that you did not feel were up to Hyatt's standard. Thank you for having high expectations of Hyatt!
