We arrived late without a booking. The owners of the hotel went out of their way to make sure we had two comfortable rooms for our family. We enjoyed our stay the first night so much so that we stayed an additional two nights at the hotel. The food over at the store was excellent. The location was very convenient.

- In 1871, John Engler had the building constructed for use as a hotel, complete with food, lodging, and a feed stable for the horses. The curved window design was taken from the old Nauvoo Temple bell tower and thus the building was always called "The Temple House." The hotel recently closed its doors for a major renovation.
