This 17th Century country pub has about 10 rooms to the rear of a small courtyard. My room was well-appointed with en suite shower facilities and a double bed. Extremely clean and comfortable room with subtle decor in keeping with the coach house atmosphere. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the food is very good (amazing breakfast!). As... Beautiful characteristic rooms which are spotless, a very comfortable stay. The grounds are a delight to sit out in the sun and the bar again has real character. Only downside was breakfast which was ok but could have been better. Would definitely return for overnight stay.

This is a family run Pub / Restaurant/Hotel. Cannot comment on the Hotel but have eaten there many times and return because it does not try to be too clever. It offers a warm welcome, good selection of beers and simple but well cooked food using quality ingredients. The menu is mainly traditional but offers enough variety to keep it... More

We stayed on a Friday night. Arrived at 11:30 and our room was ready - great. Rooms are compact but clean and tidy and you only sleep there! The staff were really helpful. The breakfast was fantastic - would recommend the full English and the scrambled eggs were delicious!

We stayed here with a number of friends. We were all going to a wedding at the Crazy Bear (15min walk). This is an excellent alternative to those attending a function at the Crazy Bear and a big plus is, it's miles cheaper, but it's still a very pleasant place to stay. The rooms are clean and we even had... More

Really really lovely friendly place and have been here serveral times but the last couple of times we have been we are very disappointed in the roast meat. The beef was still very red(which i know some people do eat it like this) but it was very tough to cut and really chewy so not as enjoyable as previous visits!... More

I stayed here for one night whilst on business in the area, preferring to stay at small inns with rooms. I usually find these quite friendly places when you are on your own and better value for money than large hotel chains. There is bags of authentic character in the oub and the rooms in the courtyard have been designed... More

Had a good meal here last night, 13 April, apart from the wine at the bar.. This white wine at the bar, presumably the house wine, was like drinking grapefruit. I would not recommend it. Don't know what they had done to it. Had to have lemonade to take away the taste. Don't think I was the only one as... More

This place is amazing value for money. It has friendly staff, comfy beds, good beer and is only a short cab ride from Le Manoir if you're going there to eat. Breakfast was excellent. Meals in the evening are reasonablly priced.
