A terrible experience stayed in this resort. The room facilities were badly maintained. The door was very difficult to open from inside the room. I need to twist very hard then only can opened the door. The kettle was totally unusable. The design of the iron pad was totally idiots. There was a gap on the area where it hold the hot iron. So the iron was easily drop to the floor and unfortunately damaged a small spot of the carpet. Luckily my wife immediately moved out her feet before the iron drop towards her feet. However the management insisted us to compensate the damage. Although the compensation was not a huge amount but it was unfair to us as a guest. Imagine other guests who use the same iron pad and the iron fall down and cause the injury. Who should bear the responsibility? The restaurant food also very terrible. The rice was so hard. My stomach pain for the whole night after taken the rice. Complaint the problem to the travel agency(A-F## ######) but no response. Very disappointed for the service provided by the agency. We will not visit to Sabah anymore.…

It is located quite close to the main road. Can hear cars late at night. The room a bit dated but it is clean and comfortable, so is the bathroom. Breakfast is set and you have to place the order during dinner time. Beautiful garden and a fantastic view of mount kota kinabalu.

Stayed here for 1 night on our way through from east to west coast. The rooms are clean and comfortable and pretty quiet. Great views to the mountains in the morning. It does get a bit of traffic noise as it’s on the highway though. Breakfast included which was good and staff very friendly

I don’t think I’ve ever rated a hotel as 2* but I can honestly say that this is the worst place I’ve stayed in the last 20 years. The room was large, light and airy and the bed was reasonably comfortable. On first inspection the bathroom looked ok until I closed the door. It was disgusting as was the ceiling. There was a constant smell of urine that I would associate with a dirty public toilet. Tried dinner that evening. Not a nice environment or nice food to a point where I didn’t bother with breakfast. We were doing a 2 day 1 night trip to the mountain and the park along with Poring Springs from KK. With hindsight we would have done a long day trip and skipped the overnight part. In fact had we been under our own steam and not with a driver and a guide, we would have left the hotel and headed back. The setting would be amazing in nice weather and the rooms have nice balconies but what a massive disappointment…

Stayed for one night, last minute booking via direct Whatsapp. Room rate is fixed for whole year, and no sudden increase of rate even with last minute booking. (I booked 1 day before stay). Booked Superior Deluxe room, located at highest point of the resort. Parking is available although tight. Road to parking is not so steep. You park just infront your own room. I got room S3, and neighboring room S4 was vacant. Had the large balcony to ourselves. View is magnificient Mount Kinabalu directly in front of your eyes. Staffs are very nice, they are all local people. Deposit RM200, can QR or cash (I think quite a lot of money) Garden is clean, well maintained, unexpectedly well pruned. Pine trees are gorgeous, some are cut to give way for Mount Kinabalu view to guest. Room: Spacious, with TV, water heater, wall fan. No air cond as it is highland. One card key, dont miss it or leave in room. Switches are manual, no need to insert card key at wall. Dinner & Breakfast provided. I guess hard to find dinner in this area if you dont have transport. Given vouchers for dinner & breakfast. Dinner menu are fixed and changed daily. But can add on separate order. Strawberry milkshake is nice. For breakfast, need to inform waiter on what menu you want for breakfast during the dinner time. So they can prepare early for tomorrow. I ordered American breakfast. Was okay. Beverage like tea, coffee are local made and free flow. Can order other beverage separately. Excellent and convenient stay, will definiely stay here everytime I visit Kundasang.…

My wife and I stayed in this Hotel for 5 nights in order to do birdwatching in the mount Kinabalu park and in the surroundings. Birdwatching was superb with many endemic and unique species. The rooms in the hotel were clean, spacious and in a good shape. However, what the hotel called restaurant was unacceptable: the hygienic conditions were scary, the food was cold and bad. We tried to seek for alternatives in walking distance around the hotel, but could not find any trustworthy. This "snack bar" urgently needs a new concept, even local people were disgussed!

Because of the steep driveway our coach couldn't negotiate the hill and we had to lug our baggage up. The rooms were small but comfortable. The bar was advertised as being open at 4.30 pm but the waitress denied it even existed. Eventually found the manager who said the only alcohol was some cans of Guiness and two bottles of white wine. He eventually opened the bar which was a pretty grim place. I certainly wouldn't bother staying there again.

This ‘Resort’ has one redeeming feature, the wonderful view of Mount Kinabalu, but that for me is it. The noise from the road below is unending, as was the noise from the other guests, as the walls are super thin and the doors and windows are not a good fit. This also contributed to the wind whistling through all night long. The bed was like sleeping on a wooden board, as there was no give in the mattress and the pillows must have been chiseled from a log, and the bedding wasn’t as clean as it could have been. There was mold in the bathroom and iron burns on the carpet. We then ventured to the ‘Restaurant’ where I was served cold chicken curry and rice, which we refused to eat. The staff did offer to cook us something else , but by this time we had lost the will to live, after having been told nothing else was available. The staff were miserable and unwilling to engage, unlike every other Malay we have met on our travels. There are many good reviews on this hotel, but sadly they are in sharp contrast to what we found …

Being not that far from Mt Kinabalu, the resort is located in a very hilly area. So walking to your room could be uphill or downhill and then most rooms are up stairs with car parks below. A fairly old property, accommodation is adequate although no fridges. The restaurant is a little different but the food was ok. Excellent views of Mt Kinabalu from all around the property.

Rooms basic but clean. No fridges in room. Meals included. Set dinner and breakfast. Meals tasty. There is a small shop to purchase snacks and soft drinks. No alcohol. No air con but had ceiling fan going and windows open so was ok. Is up high and suggest you take shuttle to check in otherwise steep walk or lots of stairs! We got up at sunrise to a cloud free view of Mt Kinabalu - magnificent!
