Set in a beautiful town this place is lovely for a stop over. From check inn everyone was so hospitable. Room was big and period piece to the time that reflects the history ... The bar has very knowledgeable staff especially in regards to bourbon. Unfortunately the whole restaurant experience was a disaster and ended up with no food. The... More

The only spirits I saw were in the bourbon bar and they, like the hotel, restaurant, and bar staff, were quite friendly. The Daniel Boone room was comfortable. In the restaurant, both food and service were very good though not exceptional. This is the heart of bourbon country and the selection makes the bar here something of an attraction in... More

The staff at the Tavern was so friendly & helpful. This included the waitress for dinner, the front desk staff, the cook that gave us hot biscuits for breakfast, the nice lady that cleaned our room, & the security man for the Bourbon Bar. The room provided your basics, nothing fancy at all, IF you like more than basics you... More

Although they were booked to stay in the hotel, we wanted to have dinner there. The wait staff was very friendly and shared the history of the tavern. Told us about the fire upstairs years ago, and keeping the tavern as original as possible. The fried chicken says it takes 45 minutes. I decided to go for it. Best decision!... More

Stayed in the Lincoln room and it was charming... Comfy bed. Clean. Very spacious. Decor was appropriate for older inn. The entire inn was very historic and interesting. Warning: stayed on a Saturday nite and it was loud due to bands in the tavern downstairs. Music stopped at 1am but it was cool to enjoy the two bands and come... More

While on a road trip for my friend's 50th birthday, we stayed at the Tavern July 21, 2011. We thought that it would be fun to stay at a "haunted" tavern. We got there in time to eat dinner. We reserved the General's Room since it had twin beds, but we had to move to another room because the air... More

The Old Talbott Tavern is located in the middle of downtown Bardstown, KY with all the charm and history. It is a beautiful old inn with a lot of history and charm. The service was exceptional and the place was very clean. The room was huge and tastefully decorated. We stayed on a Saturday night and were told before we... More

Stayed in the Daniel Boone Room. It was large, comfortable, clean, bright, historic, not scary, and pleasant. We read reviews saying to watch out for this B&B. I think they expected 5 star treatment. It was like it was advertised. Rustic and Historic was presented and achieved. Arrived at front desk and was greeted by lovely young lady who was... More
