This is one of the most unique B&B's I've been to. There are iron bars on the windows, the walls are 30 inch thick limestone and the history is amazing. The cell space has been transformed into attractive rooms (The Garden Room, The Victorian Room, and the Colonial Room to mention a few). And a night in the Jail Cell... More

My wife and I lucked out and had the whole place to ourselves, and had a spooky ol time! Paul was an excellent host, and enjoyed chatting about past experiences! 1819 room is hot :) More

Concur with other reviews regarding location. B&B is next to Old Talbot Tavern where we enjoyed two very good dinners. Shops nearby were fun to browse. Bardstown visit was very enjoyable, incl. My Old Ky Home and Heaven Hill tour. Innkeeper, Paul, was very helpful and fun to talk with. Stayed in Colonial Room and loved the atmosphere. Stuffed French... More

Loved the place -- the 1809 Room was very cool... The hosts were very helpful with suggestions of what to do and see, and the breakfast was delicious. Ver y central location in Bardstown. More

Jailers Inn is in a great location in the centre of town, and its certainly an interesting place to stay. Paul was very helpful and friendly and the room was spacious and comfortable. An ideal base for exploring the Bourbon Trail. More

We found this place to be a really neat concept for a B&B. It was pretty neat to stay in a jail and see what it was like. But unfortunately the service wasn't super. Maybe it was because we were too young, but we really didn't feel welcomed nor get any advice in terms of things we should considering seeing... More

The Jailer Inn is a very quaint B&B with an interesting history. The Inn doesn't have a lot of common areas to hang out in, but is in a great location. Our room (The Library Room) was adequate (a little bit of a mystery odor). Breakfast was great, with a fresh peach, French Toast. The Jail tour after breakfast was... More

Took our teenage kids, rented a couple rooms, 3 kids in one room husband and I in other. We were upstairs playing cards when we heard big crash. I went to stairs and saw a couple in older dress, I figured they were friends of the owner (who had gone out for evening). Hours later, owner returned to see if... More

I spent only one night at the Bardstown Inn in the Jail Cell room. Upon arrival, the staff was very eager to get me a cup and coffee and welcome me. I had a motorcycle and they allowed me to park it in the Courtyard in back which kept it off the street which can get filled with people depending... More
