As a frequent traveler we are not accustomed for a hotel to ask for our room key every time we decide to leave or even more so to inform someone every time we had to leave hotel. It was if she was appalled that we questioned why we couldnt keep room key with us. Since the hotel didn't have room... More

Thank you for taking the time to place such an interesting review. I am glad you liked the house and found the carpark convenient. I would however mention for other readers that we only have three floors - ground, first and second. Our lift is undoubtedly slow but reliable and we are lucky to have it in a grade two... More

Horsted Place was a total surprise......from the bluebell lined winding driveway, to the stunning facade, the relaxed garden and secret pathways, the discrete and totally professional staff, the food and wine, the fascinating history......it just ones on! I think the view from the bedroom window opening the curtains first thing in the morning looking out across the vast garden with... More

The hotel is lovely, and our generously-sized room was extremely comfortable, but it was the charming and very helpful staff who made this such a wonderful place to stay. And despite the rain, the grounds looked wonderful.

We took my Mother & Father to Horsted Place Hotel for Afternoon Tea to celeberate their Wedding Anniversary. We went on Saturday 21st March, which turned out to be a very hot day. The hotel is lovely and set in very nice grounds. There were 10 of us in total, all with different dietary requirements - no sauces on some... More

Thoroughly recommend afternoon tea at this lovely hotel. The best scones I have ever tasted, with selection of home made cakes and sandwiches. We visited in snowy conditions but the grounds would be lovely to walk in, had the weather been warmer. Will certainly come again.

This is a review of afternoon tea at Horsted Place hotel. We went for tea on a cold and rainy day and immediately we entered the hotel we felt the actual and metaphorical warmth of the welcome. We were a little early but our table was set speedily and while we waited we enjoyed the comfortable drawing room and the... More

If you are looking for a beautiful, quiet and relaxing place in which to escape from the noise and bustle of modern life, then this is the hotel for you. The exterior is gorgeous: Victorian Gothic but with a warm, rather than austere, feel and the grounds are extensive and delightful. The interior is absolutely lovely - if you are... More

It was a very cold Saturday when we, accompanied by a Son and Daughter together with their respective partner and husband, arrived. We were shown into the lovely formal Drawing Room where the staff had prepared for our arrival by placing two small sofas and two armchairs around one of the blazing log fires. The harpist provided a medley of... More

Horsted Place is a bit of a hidden gem. A beautiful Pugin building set in acres of quiet countryside. The staff were very helpful and accommodating and there is a relaxed if slightly fusty atmosphere to the place. It's very clean and the service is good. The restaurant is excellent. Be aware that there is a dress code of sorts... More
