I stayed at The Brown Hotel for 1 night while in Louisville for business. I enjoyed their professional staff in addition to the historic, yet comfortable, atmosphere of the hotel. The rooms are well taken care of. There are a few restaurants and cafe walking distance from the hotel.

Nothing bad to say about this great place. Accommodations, food, service, atmosphere, all were excellent. We are always excited for a visit to Louisville, to stay at The Brown! Make time to sit in the lobby and enjoy the grandeur of the hotel.

Staff picked us up at the airport. Very informative and professional bell captain and driver. Greeted at street level with door held open, nice! Front desk staff was very accommodating. The room was quite spacious & well cared for. Great location in downtown arts district.

We did not stay at the Brown this visit but had last year. Made special trip down to hotel just to have Hot Brown and mint julep . Able to get this right in lobby bar. We shared the hot brown and our server , Nicole made sure it was divided for us. We really enjoyed mint julep the last... More

Love this hotel! One of the best I've stayed at! The service is truly amazing. Very accommodating and helpful. The hotel it's self is very beautiful. AMAZING lobby. The rooms are a little older, but still very nice and classy. The bathroom was very big! Everything was clean and confortable. The location could be a little better. If you have... More

We booked a renovated room but clearly they skipped the bathroom! While room was spacious, it was muggy and shower was old. Only 2 bath towels provided. Definitely not what I expected. Does have Free wi-fi.

This is the fifth time we have stayed here. It is my number one choice of hotels when in Louisville. Although I have never eaten in their restaurants, I have had their room service and it was excellent. Our last visit was on the Club floor and the breakfast items and nightly hors d'oerves were fabulous.

I want to concentrate on the positives because there are so many: 1) The staff is the among the friendliest and most helpful of any place I've ever stayed. 2) The free shuttle bus to and from the airport is most appreciated. 3) The building itself is a work of art and a pleasure to behold. 4) The rooms are... The Brown Hotel is a really beautiful historic hotel in a so-so location of Louisville. The area surrounding the hotel is a bit sketchy but you can walk up the street to a very cool section of Fourth Street. We had some sound issues on the first night due to poor renovations on the doors connecting the suites, but the... More
