Last weekend we drove up the Maine Coast to Camden. This famous but quaint village is a huge destination in the summer but pretty quiet now. We did not have a reservation but knocked on the door of The Inn at Camden Place located literally over the Megunticook River that runs through downtown Camden. This historic hotel only has 11... LOVED my stay here: Room overlooked the river that flows under the town-gorgeous! 2 minute alk to everything-shops, harbor, restaurants. Nicest place I've stayed in throughout Midcoast Maine. It IS an Inn: don't expect a body at the front desk 24/7. But everything you need is right there. The room was huge- suite size, actually. Bed was cozy, heat fine,... More

I went to Camden, MN, last November with my wife to spend 5 days there. We arrived at 12:00 PM and the hotel doors were locked, nobody was inside the hotel and we were confused about it, my wife noticed a small box on the door that contains the keys to open the main door and our room with a... We were two couples traveling together and had two rooms. Room #3 Acadia Queen and #5.Acadia King. Here's what we look for when we travel and the inn met: Great location on a quiet street behind the main thorough fare. Both rooms were spacious and super clean. The bed was super comfortable and the bedding was soft. Here’s what exceeded... More

In short, you won't find another place right in downtown Camden walking distance to everything at well under $200 per night for rooms that match the quality of this inn. There are a lot of nit-picking negatives I can mention, such as ripped and pealing wall paper, very strangely designed rooms that make you wonder what the architect was thinking,... More

Absolutely loved this Inn! The Inn is along the river and the rooms are beautifully decorated and spacious. We were able to secure most every room except 2 for our daughter's wedding - we had our family and wedding party stay. We reserved the two main floor rooms which were perfect - they have their own hallway and so convenient... More

Great location just a block off the Main Ave. Rooms were very spacious. Staff was wonderful. Really interesting because a river runs underneath. Loved listening to the river in the evening. Walking distance to most everything in the Camden area for shopping, restaurants and a wonderful city park looking over the harbor. Restaurant has all your needs if you want... More

The staff was very friendly, the rooms were very clean, and it's located right in downtown- what more do you need? There is a river running by the hotel and a foot bridge (maintained by the hotel next door) which add charm.

Just spent 3 nites and really enjoyed. Close to town. River runs beneath it. Follow the river downstream to the falls in the harbor or upstream to other waterfalls. Clean, well managed, maintained well. Will stay there again.

This is a very old commercial building which is within walking distance of downtown Camden and the harbor/marina. The room was huge and nicely furnished. Although the room had wifi and a small desk there was no desk chair. The TV (I know it's not why you travel) was an old CRT but had sufficient channels and clear picture. Ice... More
