Ken and Donna run a professional enterprise with an engaging personal touch. The rooms are beautifully maintained, immaculate, each with their own personality. (We stayed in the Cupola East room - make sure you go up to the Cupola for a great view). Breakfast was different each day (wonderful sour cream blueberry pancakes). Our fellow guests were from everywhere and... More

My cousin and I had the pleasure to stay at this well-appointed and friendly B&B. Donna and Ken welcome you like your family. They know the area extremely well and provide a wealth of information. Our breakfast yesterday morning was outstanding! Donna provided a parfait of apple cake, strawberries and cream to get us started with our coffee, tea and... More

Thank you for taking the time to review our B&B and for your thoughtful comments on your stay. We are so pleased that you enjoyed being with us and do look forward to your returning. Glad our newly renovated bathroom now with the shower's glass enclosure has turned out to be a fun addition to the Cupola East bedroom. More

My accomplice and I were on the last third of a tour through Eastern Canada and New England late October. Hurricane Sandy was bearing down. We drove blindly away from our goal of New York City, ended up in Harpswell. Most places had closed for the season.Phoned Captain's Watch cold from the local Info office and Donna & Ken welcomed... I went with a friend off peak and was pleased with the location and the views form both the bedrooms and the dining room. Steve and Donna, the owners, were very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the area. The feel of the place is very much of a home as opposed to an Inn feel. We stayed in a downstairs... More

We stayed at Captain's Watch this winter and thought it was beautiful. It's a small B&B that sits up on a little hill overlooking Cundy's Harbor in Harpswell, which is small and gorgeous, and, in the winter, fairly deserted (which suits it- I like Maine that way). A great jumping off point to explore the mid-coast peninsulas (Georgetown, Harpswell, Phippsburg)... More

This is our first foray into an on-line rating system, but since we referred to Trip Advisor prior to our booking our stay at the Captain's Watch B&B and found the reviews very helpful, we thought we should add our experience to the mix. Our only previous experiences with B&Bs were in Canada, Ireland and Italy where we discovered each... More

My husband and I just had the most fabulous breakfast at Captain’s Watch B&B, that even addressed my gluten free diet. Hot sour cream blueberry gluten-free pancakes with butter and warm maple syrup, fresh melon, organic local sausage, fresh orange juice and piping hot coffee – a real Maine breakfast feast with all day staying power. As guests of Ken... More

I am just joining the world of reviewing and sharing our traveling experiences. This last trip to Maine seems a good place to start. We have been visiting Maine yearly for over 20 years and have stayed in many B&Bs and Inns. There are a very few that we consistently return to as part of our love affair with Maine.... More

We have recently returned from one of our several stays at the Captain's Watch B & B and again had a wonderful experience. Donna and Ken are exceptional hosts with their warm greeting of guests at their door, their individual attention to their guests comfort and their better than tour guide knowledge of their beautiful area. They are quick to... More

We were slightly disappointed with Captain's Watch, but in all fairness, our hosts were very nice. I will list what we thought the pros and cons were, and not comment much on the area as we find that when reading reviews of hotels and B & Bs, we want to know about the accommodations and not necessarily where people ate.... Thanks for your review for reading it is one way I can strive to improve our service to guests. I was of course deeply saddened that we were unable to meet your expectations for a B&B experience. Unfortunately your stay was brief (only one night on the way to a further destination). With limited direct communication about any of your... More
