In June I took a birding/hiking trip throughout Maine to find the states best birds. We stopped in Pemaquid/New Harbor for puffins. We accidentally made our reservation for the night before but they were still able to get us into a bungalow. I really enjoyed it, a lot more than some rooms in other hotels I've stayed in. The room... more

We arrived at the Inn without a reservation. We were told the Carriage House was available for the night. The innkeeper was pleasant and helpful. The inn does not accept credit cards, but will accept personal checks which took me by surprise. The Carriage House was an entire floor in a separate building adjacent to the main hotel. This gave... more

During a trip up the Maine coast, this particular booking made us the most nervous especially after reading some of the reviews. No email bookings, no credit cards didn't bode well for international visitors. On the plus side, there was a huge element of trust (we were unable to send a cheque) and the hotel seemed to be in a... more

We chose the hotel for the location, wanting to be at the lighthouse for nightfall and daybreak - without having to drive. It was a short walk...and no entry fee taken - as it was after five in the evening when we entered the grounds and 4 a.m. in the morning when we went back. We arrived at the Hotel... more

We stayed here three nights and loved it and the area. You can walk to the Pemaquid lighthouse and Seagull cafe. I painted the sunrise the first two mornings. Beautiful location, nice spacious clean room with large bath. The towels were changed but they didn't vacuum or wipe the sink or counter in the bathroom, that's my only complaint. But... more

by far our favorite place on the whole trip. Had a larger bungalow room with a porch... Room was huge and perfectly clean and comfortable. Wonderful place to stay! You are located almost at the entrance of Pemaquid lighthouse park which made for great sunrise and sunset photos of the light house. Fresh coffee in the mornings on the hotel's... more

I have been coming to the Hotel Pemaquid for years now, and have stayed in nearly every room. You can't really beat this location, or the prices. You won't get an ocean view out the window, but its very, very close to the lighthouse. The whole Pemaquid Point is pleasent and relaxing. To the woman having the issue with the... more

The positives: Hotel Pemaquid is steps from Pemaquid Point, a spectacular natural attraction - waves crashing against a high cliff with a lighthouse museum atop. You can climb on the rocks or sit mezmorized. There is a nice art gallery featuring local artists. There is a snack cafe and public restrooms. Hotel Pemaquid's main building has 3 large common rooms... more

I really liked this place - kind of different, and very homey. The price was right, and the location was great for making an early morning visit to Pemaquid Point lighthouse. more

I`ve stayed at the Hotel many times over the years! If one is looking for ammeneties which include pool, tennis courts, sauna ect... go elsewhere! This is a very elegant summer hotel in which the owners,Skip and Cindy Atwood have blended history, true period furnishings,a touch of romanticism(hence -"Somewhere in Time" theme),and expert woodworking throughout the main hotel and surrounding buildings. People come... more
