Yes, the previous reviewers had it right - Morrill Mansion is indeed a gem in Portland! We spent a long weekend in January at this beautiful and clean B&B and enjoyed it immensely. The rooms and breakfasts have been described fully in other reviews. Food and snacks were terrific, and I don't know why David bills breakfast as continental, as... More

We were on a 10 day driving tour through the New England, and would spontaneously look for accommodation when we were ready to stop for the night. We always were lucky and happy with what we found but the gem was the Morrill Mansion which had 2 rooms available for the night (we are two couples) at the best (and... More

My spouse and recently spent a weekend at Morrill Mansion in Portland, ME. One of the things we loved is that it's close enough to downtown to walk but just far enough away to be in a quiet neighborhood. David is a wonderful innkeeper, we had a great conversation during breakfast about good places to eat in Portland and he... More

I'm so glad we decided to go the B&B route on our weekend getaway to Portland. We could have stayed at a big hotel, but the Morrill Mansion had so much more character! The only room available was the Morrill Suite-which sleeps three, but we were glad we booked it. The extra room provided a great spot to hook up... More

We stayed there last in May 2011 as part of an anniversary getaway. We could not believe all of the amenities. The mini fridge was stocked with water and there was more available if needed. Chocolate treats were in the room as well. The library on the 2nd floor has tons of DVDs, board games, and home baked snacks, which... More

We booked this at the last minute and were so lucky to get a beautiful room for 2 nights.(The Maguire Room) David was lovely - really welcoming and helpful. He sent us to a brilliant restaurant that had a great atmospher and served the best meal we had on our 2 week holiday. The b&B was in a good location... More

We stayed here four nights while visiting our son in the Portland area. What a find!!! Spotless, comfy, cozy rooms with amazing breakfasts. The cider and baked goodies in the afternoon were extra special. Dave was gracious and helpful. Can't wait to go back. More

We stayed here one night in September 2011 on our way to Acadia National Park. We reserved a room at their special "Baked Bean Rate" that is offered to those who book within 24 hours of arrival. WHAT A DEAL! The innkeeper put us in the very nicely-appointed Burnham Room with which we were very happy. The room had everything... More

I've been staying in B&B's, both in the USA and in Europe, for about 35 years, and have found many, many extremely nice ones. Now, against all odds, I've found the perfect one. Needless to say, the Morrill Mansion has all the usual comforts you'd expect from a five-star inn, so I won't waste space listing them. It's everything they... More

My husband and I spent one night here on our way up to Acadia. I wish I could have transported this b&b to the bar harbor area because it was absolutely wonderful. David, the host, was so nice and helpful and I loved his pug! It smelled incredible, like fresh baked goods, from the time we walked in until the... More
