This is a great place to stay in Portland. The attention to detail and the amenities are great. It is walking distance to excellent restaurants and shops. I would highly recommend this wonderful B&B. David is absolutely the most conscientious and competent innkeeper ever.

We loved staying here, David was an excellent host, the home baking was delicious, and the room was very comfortable. It was in a great location and was great value. We would also recommend Bonobo, just round the corner, for dinner.

Recently I had to fly to Portland, ME for an overnight stay before a trip to New Hampshire. I noticed a listing for this B&B on several sites along with excellent reviews and a reasonable price ($95.00) for off-season. I was not disappointed. After being escorted and signed-in by the owner I found my room and bathroom to be excellent,... More

This is a beautiful b&b with luxury rooms. David looks after you well - from amazing homemade breakfasts (egg soufflés, French toast with compote as an example) through to striking the balance well with giving guests privacy. The rooms are extremely comfortable with two guest lounges serving tea/coffees and homemade cakes or cookies. I can imagine it would be a... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here on a last-minute getaway over the winter, and we agreed that it is the most luxurious B&B we have ever stayed in, and probably ever will stay in! I loved how our room had its own blue and white French theme- we could have very well been in an upscale vineyard hotel in the... More

The Burnham Room rocks. David rocks. The Morrill provided us with a romantic and lovely B&B introduction to our recent Maine vacation. The inn is in the western part of the city, about a 10-15 minute pleasant walk from the port area, and just a few minutes from the very well-done Art Museum and lots of good restaurant choices. The... More

Spent last weekend here both Friday and Saturday night. David, the owner, prepared the most outstanding breakfasts! Mini souffle's/quiche with lobster or broccoli and red peppers. Homemade muffins, cobblers.....Yum. Afternoon snacks of course were whoopie pies and chocolate chip and coconut blondies. The room was exquisitely decorated, spotless, and comfortable. David thought of everything from providing us with the names... More

My husband and I traveled here as a couple. We were looking for something with a little privacy, space, downtown and not as expensive as the big hotels. We got a lot more than that! We stayed in the Burnham room, which was perfect. There is a tiny anteroom as you come in with a refrigerator and a closet, and... More

We decided to take a trip to Portland without booking a reservation for a room and we more than lucky to find that Morill Mansion had a vacancy. We stayed in the Morrill Suite and it was a wonderful room; clean, well decorated, comfortable and spacious with a sitting room, mini fridge, wine fridge, jacuzzi and privacy. Dave, the Innkeeper,... Let me start by saying that we are newlyweds and my husband has a mental illness. He used to drive to Portland from Boston to relax when he was younger, so we chose to start our honeymoon here. When we got to the mansion, it was everything we could have imagined and more. It was cozy and romantic and the... More
