The Wild Iris inn was a good way to bookend our trip. We were there twice in one week with a trip up to Acadia National Park in between. We were traveling with a small child so it was great to be in a room with an extra twin bed in it. We all slept better because of it, and... More

Very cute place, with a nice breakfast and downtown Portland location. Clean, nice rooms in a very convenient location. I will definitely visit again. They staff was very accommodating with my off hours and I planned on going out for breakfast since Portland is a breakfast town, but decided to stay in for the company and great variety.

My three girlfriends and I had a wonderful 2 night stay in this beautiful B&B. Great location for being within walking distance of Portland's main attractions. The rooms were very clean. The entire B&B is really cute - nice decor. Breakfast was excellent too - fresh fruits and home-baked goods. I couldn't think of a better place to stay. We... More

My husband and I enjoyed staying here for our anniversary. Perfect location. The owner was flexible when we had to change our dates last minute. I do wish the garden was a little bigger though. Cozy decor, nice breakfast, had a unique sort of feel to it. And LOVE that they made many efforts to be environmentally-friendly.

My two sisters and I shared a room for a long weekend. The inn was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast consists of fresh fruit, yogurt, granola, and a fresh baked pastry each morning. Very small and intimate. Each room has their own bathroom, but it is not in the room. Have to walk down the hallway which did not bother... More

Cozy character house b n b with delicious homemade breakfast, just 2 blocks from downtown - with opportunity for meeting fellow travelers in welcoming common areas but conducive to privacy. We were fans of the overall decor, tea options, bathrobes, slippers, and radios.

My wife and I spent a night at the only green-certified B&B in Portland and could not have been happier. With Congress becoming more popular, and tons of great restaurants and music venues, you really can't beat the Wild Iris Inn's location on State Street. Initial reservations about the traffic on State were unfounded, as the guest rooms are tucked... More

Portland is one of my favorite town. Great restaurants, wonderful brew pubs, and a good walking city. We loved that we parked our car at the Inn and it was a short walk to downtown. The Inn is Ultra clean and very nicely furnished. We took a small room in the back of the house to avoid any city noise.... More

Stayed one night driving through to NYC. The house is very clean with comfortable beds. We had the room at the front if the house because it has a king size bed. Unfortunately, had difficulty sleeping because of traffic noise. Would recommend a smaller room towards back of house. The breakfast was help yourself with a good selection. The fresh... More

It's a very nice place to stay - my second time staying there. Very comfortable beds, nice rooms, lovely house overall. The owner is very pleasant too. Location is on a hill, so it is a little bit of a trek to the top, but you are in a great location - smack in the middle of the arts district.... More
