But for $58 per night with AAA it is a place to stay. I stay here a couple of times a year for work and have done so for a few years. Convenient, cheap, easy parking.it is old and tired. Rooms are ok but you can tell that they have not had a lot of attention. It smells old, carpets... More

We recently stayed at the Trade Winds. The people were pleasant and the downtown location with water views is great. However, the hotel is an older property that is getting tired. It is in need of a face lift. It is still O K for a one or two night stay, but no more than that

Being right downtown in Rockland, the inn is near all the major attractions. The room was clean (except we found someone's sock under the bed) and comfortable with a great view. The staff was friendly and efficient.

I stayed at the trade winds in Rockland, Me. Last week. The owners are squeezing every last penny out of this place. It was clean. But that was all I can say.. Breakfast was terrible at best. I had a major male crisis. the TV tuner did not work. I had to call 5 x to get it fixed. Maintainence... More

Travelling with friends, they booked us, through RCI, into the Trade Winds. We had what they called a studio. It was a large room with King bed (not comfortable) a kitchenette that consisted of a one burner electric cooktop, and sink. There was sufficient dishware and coffeemaker. You could tell it had been refurbished at one time, but needed more... More

We booked our reservation through RCI and were confirmed for a sleep 4 unit. When I called several weeks before to double check on the room, I was told we had an interior room that slept 2 only and was transferred to the timeshare office. The pleasant woman moved us into an extended studio with two double beds and bath... More

We booked 2 rooms for a 1 night possibly 2 night stay. The only good thing about the motel is the location. Upon entering my room I was overcome by the strong oder of carpet fresh. This was the least of our problems. There was hair on my pillows, the sheets were dingy and stained, the blankets and bedspread has... More

Upon walking in the door and up to the desk, I said, Hello, How are you? The man at the desk asnwered dead pan serious " I just got here". He acted like he was suprised someone walked in making an inquiry about the place. Did not even offer me a card/rate sheet. Date: August 28th at 3: 19 pm... More

This was part of a time share deal. The first room we got was terrible---stunk of some kind of chemical, and was far from clean. However, we asked for a room change, which we received, and the second room was in an area that had been refurbished---no carpet, just hard wood floors, and decidedly better. The bed was quite comfortable.... More

This hotel offers lots of rooms in a convenient downtown Rockland location - walking distance to waterfront, bars, restaurants and galleries. That is the reason our large group stayed here. The building and decor are a bit tired. Service was so-so.
