Wonderful stay at the Homeport Inn! Owners live on property, very accommodating. Nice restaurant in lower level. They are getting ready for the busy summer season- wifi access- beautiful home built in 1870's- beautiful grounds and well taken care of property! We visit area in spring and fall and this will definitely be our destination from now on!

I guess I have to preface this review by explaining that my idea of a great B&B is a super-luxe Victorian home. The Homeport is not super-luxe. It is comfortable, but more "old farmhouse" than "elegant Victorian," with at least one room (it was the one we stayed in, but I can't remember the number) with a decor that looks... More

First of all - My all time favorite Inn after a second visit and another great experience. It is evident that the owners have a close watch of this beautiful property. I believe this is the only Italianate sea captains mansion in Searsport? It is an extraordinary building furnished in period antiques, many oriental carpets and crystal chandeliers in a... More

We had a very good experience at this inn. A good location, easy to find. A welcoming hostess-and owner. A very nice and large room with 2beds, canopy, floral walls, elegant furniture and comfortable arm chairs, a deck facing a large garden and a magnificent tree full of withe flowers (may) with 2 patios chairs, and more chairs in the... My wife and I get to travel back to the mid-coast Maine area 2 or 3 times a year... and we travel a quite a bit staying at B&Bs whenever possible.. This weekend we had the pleasure of staying at the Home Port Inn in Searsport... From the warm and informative reservation phone call that my wife had with Anita... More

I come up to the Belfast area several times a year and have the chance to stay in many different places. The Homeport is by far one of the best values along the coast. I dont think the website pix show how spacious and spotless the rooms are (we stayed in the king room aka Rm 6) , and they... More

We stayed only one night but wish it could have been longer. Our room was cozy and clean. The breakfast was excellently prepared by one of the host/owners,a former chef/cook and served by his most gracious wife. They went out of their way to prepare breakfast very early because we could not wait for the later regular breakfast service. That's... More

Homeport Inn, a magnificently restored 19th century captains' home filled with beautiful antiques, surrounds one with a bygone era. Inn is close to Route 1 and traffic noise is the only drawback, especially early morning. Anita and Marsha were both delightful and very accommodating. A return visit is definitely in the plans.

Our room was cozy, comfortable and clean. Dinner at the Mermaid Pub downstairs was most satisfying. Anita was a gracious and welcoming hostess, and Marsha's breakfast was beautifully served and more than abundant. It's simply a charming place.

We stayed here during the labour day weekend, as there was no availability for hotels in Bangor. The property was very nice and well maintained. The rooms were a nice size with lots of windows which I liked. There is a bar/pub downstairs which I only was in for a couple minutes to pay for our room, but if we... More
