We stayed at the Yardarm for one night over Labor Day weekend after reading very good reviews here on TripAdvisor--and it did not disappoint! The location is very convenient, and although we didn't find much to do in Searsport, it's just a short distance from Belfast, which has a funky little downtown and some good restaurants. The staff was very... More

Planned to stay in next town south, but a weekend event there had most rooms full, and for much more $$. We were so happy we found the Yardarm. Great value, quiet, and friendly people. Lovely breakfast. We'll be back. -- VT and NH sisters. More

Stopped there for 1 night: The wonderful: -The Innkeepers (I am guess they were the owners)! There was a chance we were going to arrive very late at night and not only did they not have a problem with that, they went out of their way to make it as easy as possible for us. They also were very very... More

This is my third time returning to the Yardarm Motel in Searsport, Maine. The last time I stayed was during the Lobster Festival in nearby Rockland. A great drive along Maine backroads and along U.S. Route 1. What a treat! Yummy lobster by day then crisp sheets by night at the Yardarm. Not to mention the great, sunny breakfast room... More

The motel was very well maintained. The owner could not have been more accommodating for 4 cross country cyclists! More

We arrived late around 8.45 pm and couldn't find the place right away (our GPS died). So we pulled over to a gas station and as I was looking for their phone number, I got a call from the motel! It so happened that the gas station was in front of the motel. The owner was very friendly and gave... More

We stopped here for 1 night as we were passing through Maine. It's not a fancy place, but it has everything you need for a comfortable night. The rooms were simple but very clean. The owner was very friendly and gave us advice about where to go around Maine. The breakfast was also simple but good. A good place to... More

We stayed here on our way up to Acadia and it proved to be a comfortable place to stay, conveniently located on Rt 1 with access to many antique shops. We tend to stay away from chain motels and this is an excellent example of a locally owned place where the proprietor takes pride on keeping a clean, friendly and... More
