The Inn at Southwest was just what we were looking for. It was quaint and beautiful Inn and was the perfect retreat from hiking in the Acadia National park. We stayed off season in October but the weather and foliage were both spectacular. The two course breakfasts we were served each morning were delicious and surpassed what we expected in... More

Some places you stay you want a big room to retire to and some places you don't need to. We had a small room which in some places would be too small, but here they have a very welcoming public area with tea, coffee and cookies so you can sit there and relax. We based ourselves in Southwest Harbor as... More

Can't recall how many times we've stayed there, but lots. Besides the comfortable rooms and ample, delicious breakfasts( and Esther's cookies) both Sandy and Esther know Acadia very, very well. Sights, hikes, restaurants, etc, they know it all. I hope we'll be back next year.

Nice Inn and the staff is very accommodating. Since it was my first visit to the Inn and area, I didn't know that Southwest Harbor is a very small town with limited things to do at night. If you want quite no TV time, then this is your place. i don't recommend the small room they offer at the Inn... More

Having vacationed in Acadia many times as campers, this was our first time for my wife and I to enjoy the comforts of B&B living and our first time staying in Southwest Harbor. We chose the Inn at Southwest after reading many stellar trip advisor reviews and from our 3 night experience, the reviews could not have been more spot... More

We have been going to Southwest Harbor for many years, typically driving up in August (with our bicycles) leaving the DC heat behind us. We have stayed at the Inn at Southwest four times now, just recently for 6 nights. We would not stay anyplace else. It is a GREAT Inn. Sandy and Esther are wonderful people, genuinely happy and... I so enjoyed my stay at your Inn. Southwest Harbor is so quiet and peaceful. You can walk to restaurants and shops. The food at the Inn was so tasty. You made me feel at home. Can't wait to come back to the people of the Island as they are so friendly and layed back. Thank you!

Our three nights stay was THE BEST! You could have not found the most appointed, well furnished, cozy and comfortable living room with access to books, games, even old fashion wind up record player, soothing music played throughout the day and the most comfy fire place burning every morning just to take the chill off !!! You can tell the... More

My wife and I stayed at the Inn at Southwest for two nights over the Labor Day long weekend. While the weather did not cooperate, our stay was very enjoyable. Sandy and Esther were not only friendly and responsible for preparing two delicious breakfasts, but they also steered us towards bicycle rental and shared with us their own "local knowledge"... More

What a lovely stay we had at the Inn at Southwest Harbor. Our host, Sandy, was very kind and helpful with restaurant, hiking, biking, and Acadia questions. Our room was very comfortable -- the inn was beautiful, clean, and well-cared for. Loved all the interesting things in the common rooms. It was great to have access to hot beverages 24/7.... More
