Our family has been camping all over the US and there are a few places that we try to go back to when we can. Shady Pines is one of those campgrounds that my kids ask to return to. We have camped there for the last 2 years on Columbus Day weekend and enjoyed it very much. The staff is... More

My family and I have been camping here for over 7 years and its never old. It is in Savoy which is a very boring town but its nice. The campground is old but great. The restrooms are clean all of the time, the is done over and not to cold. It has an arcade and a ping pong table,... More

Stayed on a Monday night and the place was deserted. The pool was beautiful and refreshing. The bathroom was clean (but, there was hardly anyone in the campground to use it). Our campsite had litter left from the previous campers. The water and electric hookups were a bit old school - had to find them in the high grasses next... More

We really enjoyed camping at Shady Pines. It was in a quiet, secluded area and the other campers were very friendly. I wod consider staying here again. Pros: Great area. Very quiet at night. There were activities through out the week at the rec hall. Sites were large and clean. Great pool. Cons: The bathrooms are not cleaned very often.... More

I'm happy to see others have had a great experience, but I unfortunately am not one of them. At first, the Shady Pines seems nice. It's spacious, looks nice in pictures and is located in a quiet town no one knows about conveniently in the Berkshires in the middle of no where. Great place to get away. But after staying... More

I've stayed in lean-to's, rain-soaked tents, etc. and "know from" camping. The reason my family chose Shadypines is because we were hiking in the area and my citified husband wanted cabins for the kids. Also, it is perfectly equidistant between NY and Boston, as we were camping with friends and family from that area. We have stayed at other private... More

One might think that after staying at Shady Pines Campground for 20 years it might get old hat, but it does not. In the early years it was tent camping but now we rent a trailer for 10 days, attending the Summer Star Party event hosted by the Rockland Astronomy Club, This year our grandson and his family joined us... Surprised to read the review from the person from New York (maybe the real problem) concerning Shady Pines campground. We have been going there for some twenty years now and have always found the family and fellow campers to be friendly and accomodating. The kids love the open grassy sites and we like the shaded sites as well. Yes, they... More

I cannot emphasize enough how right the reviewer before me truly is. This is the worst campground I've ever visited. (I've been to thirty-five.) The staff is rude beyond all reasoning and do not know how to satisfy their costumers the least bit. The "low" price is deceiving... Not only does the staff make your time a living heck but... More

We stayed there for a weekend in the beginning of June, and the entire weekend was terrible. First of all, the people who work there are very rude, not friendly and inviting as they should be. The bathrooms were dirty the entire time we were there, at least one clogged toilet everytime we went in there. They also did not... More
