My husband and I spent our anniversary at the 1896 House and everything was absolutely fantastic. We spent 2 nights in one of the barnside suites with a gas fireplace, great furnishings and we just loved the tub. I would highly recommend it to everyone. The breakfasts were great too.

The suite at the 1896 house was wonderful. It was clean, bed comfortable and the Jacuzzi worked well. The breakfast provided was very well prepared and was delicious and the restaurant that is on site had great food!

After reading the reviews on Tripadvisor, we were really excited to stay here, but overall, we found it average. It is basically the same as a chain hotel. Though it looks like a typical .50's motel from the outside, the rooms are great. Dark knotty pine walls, spacious, with nice clean carpet. Our room had a king 4-poster bed and a jacuzzi tub/shower. Convenient location near Williams College, and a complimentary hot full breakfast buffet at the pub next door. I'd stay here any time.
