I usually stay at Greektown Casino and Hotel however wanted to give another hotel a try. The valet parking is $20/day which is kind of a bummer, but once you call valet and request your car it is fast and easy. Check in was easy and fast. I did request a high floor with city view. Also a king bed.... More

Thank you for the great downtown Detroit testimonial. With summer months approaching, there is so much to do within walking distance of the Courtyard. If you have an opportunity to contact me, I’d appreciate a few minutes to discuss your room type request. I didn’t see notes in your reservation and interested to know if you made the request through... More

I originally tried to book a room at the Marriott Hotel in the Renaissance Center where my conference was located, but it was full to capacity. Therefore, since a room was available at the Courtyard Marriott across the street, I went there instead. This is a very nice place and it met my expectations of a Marriott property. My check-in... Thank you for the compliments, and glad to hear our hotel and service met your expectations. We enjoy welcoming our Marriott Rewards guests and recognizing their loyalty throughout their stay. I appreciate the feedback concerning your in-room refrigerator. They are typically very quiet, so we will look to replace the one that you found to be a little noisy. Besides... More

We stayed at the Courtyard in April. We were there for a Tigers game. Love the location! Easy to find, right across the street from the huge Ren Center! The rooms are clean, comfortable, nice views, pool and wonderful staff! Good places to eat within walking distance. Tom's Oyster Bar,Sweatwaters,Fishbones! Thank you for the “great stay” review. A fun way to experience GM Renaissance Center is walking their 1/8th mile glass circulation ring. The 12-foot wide etched glass panel walkway is suspended on stainless steel rods, overlooking an eclectic display of General Motors vintage, new model and concept vehicles. It also connects the Wintergarden, a tropical atrium facing the Detroit... More

The Courtyard is excellent place to stay for a weekend visit to Detroit. Great location as its near anything you'll want to do. The People mover, above street public transit, is right at the hotel and goes to most points of interest and its only 75 cents. Service was excellent, extra kudos to the valet staff.

Dear Gary, Thank you for an excellent review. Our guest’s ability to walk to so many downtown Detroit highlights combined with the convenience of a People Mover station at the hotel certainly contributes to our great location. I will pass your service comments along to our staff, with special recognition to the valet team. They are committed to providing a... More

This property is reasonably priced, well located, and very comfortable. It has the largest and nicest fitness facility I have ever seen in a hotel - one large room of aerobic workout equipment - including high-end rowing machine, treadmills, and ellipticals - and another large room of free weights, and wide array of equipment. There is also a pool, which... More

Dear DB, Thank you for the great feedback and fitness center testimonial. Many of our guests stay with us based on the ability to maintain their fitness routine. We are in the process of a complete Internet hardware upgrade to address the recent speed issues during high occupancy peak usage times. The project is expected to be completed within the... More

We stayed 2 nights to see the Tigers and Yankees play. The Courtyard is an easy walk from the ballpark and "Greektown" with its casinos and eateries. The people mover (overhead tram) stops right at the hotel and you don't even have to go outside. Staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. Fitness center is unusually large and well equipped for... The rooms were a decent size and had everything we needed. I really liked the view of the water and Canada. The only bad thing about the room was the cleanliness. The bathroom had quite a bit of hair built-up along the baseboards and there was blood on a wall. There also wasn't a fan in the bathroom which we... More

Largest room I've ever had in a courtyard. Bed was comfortable although a little soft. Bathroom spacious and new fixtures. Only negative was the couch cushion padding was way too thin. TV was newer but they only subscribe to analog stations so viewing was "fuzzy".

Stayed here two nights for the Tigers home opener. The staff was friendly, the hotel and surroundings were clean and safe, and the location was convenient. I'm not sure what some of the other reviewers are complaining about, but I think some people just have an agenda. I will stay here again, as it was beyond expectations and a great... More

We stayed here for a few days while seeing the sights in Detroit (Ford Museum and Detroit Institute of Arts). The room was comfortable and large enough to accomodate a roll away bed. Free wi-fi, indoor pool and included breakfast made it even better. Would stay here again!
