Seeing other reviews about poor customer service? what are they talking about? we made a night before online res. and I made mistake, booked same day not next so I called direct to fix date and the same gentleman that told me to book online earlier because of cheaper rates answered and said I already fixed it for you. When... More

We stayed here specifically because of the proximity to Ford field (it's literally around the corner) and we paid about $75 dollars to stay there for one night. I was surprised when booking online that a king bed was not an option as that seems to be the standard in most places now. I initially booked a room with 2... More

Luckily we "found" this treasure so often overlooked - just around the corner from Ford Field, Co-America Park, Gem Theatre and the Fox Theatre in downtown Detroit. Built in 1917 as the Henry Clay (lobby still has original tile and stained glass windows) it remains a classic with lots of character. More

I love historic hotels, and safety, cleanliness, centrality, and affordability will often make me tolerate more "funkiness" than the next traveler, but I'm afraid that I cannot recommend this hotel in Downtown Detroit. The lobby was lovely, and full of the fascinating history of this almost 100-year-old hotel, but the room we stayed in for 3 nights looked as if... More

First problem, was told to park at Opera House parking, but when I went to park, parking attendant said I couldn't and that Miner wasn't suppose to be telling guest to park there. When I called hotel to find different parking spot, they said they didn't know of any (You don't of any other structure in the city ?!). Second,... More

I travel a lot and wanted an ADVENTURE! I wanted out of the chain hotel rut. This is a cool old school hotel. If you are a diva stay away! I liked the old feeling of the hotel it has all of the basic needs of a place to stay. I liked that you can walk anywhere in downtown that... More

I Stayed at the Milner due to the fact that it was a historical Flat-iron building, close to the location I was working at (walk to Comerica Park and short drive to The Motor City Casino, close to fwy) & price was below $100 a night, it was clean and who wants to stay at a boring standardized and modern... My brother and I stayed here for one night as we were on a baseball roadtrip, and this hotel is about 500 feet from Comerica Park. You literally can see the hotel from your seats at the stadium. It's an oddly narrow hotel which makes it unique. The elevator is an odd triangle shape, which shows how they had to... More
