Is that person serious about the bug in the bible??? Weren't there swarms of locusts in there too? I have stayed at the Royal 4 times and always found it amazingly spotless and at an excellent price. Pat and his wife are very gracious hosts and Pat has good advice on fishing spots too! I highly recommend the Royal!
Great place if you just need a place to rest your head after a long day of driving. No muss, no fuss. Clean, great price and nice staff. Only downside for me is no wifi.
I fist stayed at the Royal Motel back in Jan of 07 and have been back every winter since....Pat and Sue are always very nice and helpful...I have been all over the U.P. and for your $$ you can't beat the Royal motel.
